THe thing with 2001, when i heard te leaked versions of Still Dre and FOrgot about Dre, i KNEW the game was Dre's and that he was gonna sell like crazy.  I had never heard a beat like Still Dre before, and IMO that is an incredible song to this day.

I think this album will sell 4-5, maybe more, and that is excellent.  I just pray to god 50 is not on the first single!

I'm nowhere near as hyped for 2001.  I don't think it'll sell that great either.  What it comes down to is, Dre's sound is westcoast, nobody buys westcoast.  Snoop goes plat, Dre will probably go 2X plat, even with Em & 50 on it.  The last good example of this (in my opinion!) was the Wash soundtrack.  Had everybody good on it, Snoop, Dre, etc. and didn't sell shiiiiit.

The comment "dre's sound is westcoast, nobody buys westcoast" is almost dumb.  WHat do you think the song In Da CLub is?  I dont care if it is a 50 cent song, that is one of those Dre beats that anyone could have rapped (or sung- REmember Family Affair) over and it woulda been huge HUGE.  Dre will drop a single that has a beat that cant be denied, and as a result he wont be denied.

As for rumours of SNoop not being on there, i am SURE he will be.  Remember last time, Dre was just gonna do it with the Aftermath fam, but realized he needed the DPG and original crew- same thing this time.

As for THe Wash, that was done very quickly, while Dre usually takes years to make classics.  All of a sudden, the release date for that sdtrk was pushed up and they werent ready.  THe last weekend of working on it Dre and Knoc came up with BAd Intentions as the single, which was a dope song but never really caught on.  Still, I DO NOT THINK IT IS WISE TO JUDGE detox USING THE SUCCESS OF A SOUNDTRACK WHICH DRE NEVER GOT TO FINISH!!!

Calm Down, remove Balls from your mouth.

O.K.

First off, it's my opinion, who gives a fuck?

Second, If you want Dre's album to be full of eastcoast rappers, sure, it'll sell.  However, it goes the route his other 2 did, and has westcoast rappers, since the westcoast doesn't sell shit anymore, it probably won't sell.  Sorry, game over.

BTW, I'm not judging detox.  I'm sure it'll be a great album, but that doesn't mean shit to record sales.  2X plat is my prediction, like Tom.
