Where did you get this from?  I saw this on another board too but that guy didn't state a source either and it was a couple weeks ago with this news not appearing on any sites.

Not too sure about his production skills cause I haven't heard much work he did on his own other than "One Mic" which is classic.

My prayers been answered, he won't have ANY guest appearances!

I'm pretty sure Nas produced One Mic unless someone ghost-produced it.
He also did Smokin', I think. He's actually pretty nice with the beats.

4. Smokin'
Produced By: Nas

7. One Mic
Produced By: Nas & Chucky Thompson

1. Get Down
Written by: Nas & Salaam Remi
Produced by: Nas & Salaam Remi
Recorded by: Kevin Crouse
Mixed by: Kevin Crouse
Contains elements of "Funky Drummer" written and performed by James Brown
Also contains elements from "The Boss" written by James Brown, Charles Bobbitt and Fred Wesley, performed by James Brown

I just got those from "The Vault" and I added Chucky Thompson to "One Mic" cause I'm 98% that's right and I just don't wanna go and get the book myself.

Hopefully not.

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
