For me, selling out is making a record when you only care about success and not about the quality of your music. That doesnt mean that when you've done a good record you cant worry about it selling. ALL rappers do music for money, that's obvious, would you be working for free? But the point is that some artists stay true to their style and care about the quality (no matter who you work with, as long as you do it with the intention of making a good record and not only a hit record) and other just make hit records, even tho their music sucks, they know it and they dont care as long as it sells.
