The fuck is up with this? I made a thread about this @ outbound almost a full hour earlier than this thread was started and got 0 replies. ::) What kinda shit is that? I ain't trippin' or anything, it's all good in the end, just wondering the fuck is up with that...

Anyways, it was a good read, especially to know that there's no animosity or love lost towards anybody from anybody. Hope we'll get to hear what Ra sounds like on a Dre beat sometime though.

Damn, well I guess this goes to show we were all wrong about the Aftermath and Rakim situation. At the time this happened all you heard being blamed was Jimmy Iovine. Everyone assumed he was the one trying to change Rakim and his style and take him to the mainstream - myself included. Then Rakim pretty much says it was Dre trying to craft him into some sort of OG 'gangsta' rapper. And I don't think Rakim is saying that ut of spite because he is still referring to the Doc as 'my man'. Still, that is so incredibly foolish of Dre. When he first signed Ra MTV did a special on it that I remember reading a bit of online and Dre was talking about how humble he felt in the presence of a real legend, and things along these lines. If he felt this way why did he attempt to tamper with Rakim's image? You think Dre would have learned the age-old teaching that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Don't attempt to transform a classic lyrcist that surely the majority of fans feel needs no 'improvements'. And why the hell did Dr Dre only record THREE tracks with Ra  ??? Doesn't even seem like he was the mic god the time of day...his loss.

Lol at this getting loads more replies here than in Outbound. Anyway, I posted in the Outbound thread before I saw it here, so I'll just post the same reply here.

Dope interview, thanks for the hookup. Sounds like Dre was being a real dick about this project from what Rakim is saying, even though he is trying to maintain that he still has respect for Dre. Can't wait for part 2 now.

If and when "Oh My God" comes out, it'll be the dopest hip-hop ever. Maybe Ra'll have a radio single 'n blow some platnium shit, maybe diamond?

And i'm glad Rakim cleared up the Premo thing, cause I was starting to get a little pissed off with everyone saying that his beats had been rejected cause they weren't good enough. When Ra releases his album and there are some pure classic Premier joints on there, then everyone will see that leaving aftermath was the best thing Rakim could have done.

Dr Dre is a retard.

this wat i mean twhen i made thta post about "id pay for a dr. dre interview". people keep reading interviews of other artist and they talk stuff about dre and we all end up getting angry at dre without knowing his side of the story. its dre's fault that he isnt accessible to his fans but still im not gonna react on this like yall did until ive heard dre's side. although it seems like it is his fault that the rakim album isnt out on aftremath rite now.

peace

LOL

but i still would never pay for a dre interview coz in all honesty i don't care about what he has to say and have no interest in anything he's involved in. Not hating but im not bothered about him in the slightest.

but thats just me

 8)

And i still hope the Bone Thugs signing to Aftermath thing is just a internet rumour because if i just couldn't cope.

lol
