Kanye is flavour of early 2004 and his production and name credit would suit a commercial Crooked I single to get ears noticing and if he can get heavy rotation on MTV it'll be a nice start for his new album. Deathrow wasted his time but i wanna hear him spittin more tight shit like 'Still the Row' that had a nice westcoast feel to it, minus the bitch.

WHAT MAKES AN ARTIST WESTCOAST?

Lets see how "Westcoast" his album (if ever) sounds.

Snoop gets hate for jumping on different tracks/beats but for Crooked I and the Game and all those other half artists its allowed?

KoDy

I asked a question, theres no truth in this rumor. Crooked I wouldnt work with Kelsi and West. no need to hate

SHIT THAT DOESN'T MEAN ANYTHING, I CAN HAVE SNOOP ON MY SHIT, GET IT PRODUCED BY DRE BUT IT'S ALL ABOUT HOW WELL HIS CAMPAIGN GOES. IF HE SPENDS A MIL ON PROMO, YEAH HE'S GONNA BLOW 4 SURE, BUT IF HE SPENDS 200K, IT'LL NOT BE AS HEAVY.

ALSO IT DEPENDS IF THE TRACK IS TITE OR NOT. JUST BECUASE KANYE PRODUCED IT DOESN' T MEAN IT'S GONNA BE SICK. KANYE IS AVERAGE, HE JUST GOT HIS NAME OUT THERE A LITTLE BIT. BIG DEAL, WE'LL SEE HOW HE TURNS UP. PLACE UR BETS HERE::

Kanye is one of the hottest producers in the game right now, so it would certainly give Crooked I some exposure.

I'd be glad if it happens 8)

Kanye produced a Knoc single and it didn't blow.

Yeah, but Kanye wasn't as well known then as his is now.

OK, do y'all think that Crooked I should get commercial exposure without really doing anything else prior? I mean, do y'all just want him to follow suit with EVERY other rapper out and just go straight into the charts etc with his first album? Release one album have maybe one hot song then be gone?

If his album drops, which I doubt, I think it would be so overun with producers who are bigger than him and would steal any light he has.

The fact that he is from the Westcoast will become irrelevant if his album comes out. Just like the 213 and most Snoop albums now.

My thoughts.

Is it me, or does Kanye not even really sound east. I remember first hearing H to the Izzo, and thinking, Jay-Z has dumped the eastcoast sound? Kanye has more of a mid west sound to him, being from Chi-Town and everything, and it allows for him to produce for both coast and have great songs for both, without either coast sounding like they are trying to be from the other coast.

Crooked I and Kanye West. Well we'll see. It depends on if Crooked can produce commercial lyrics. The Dilated Peoples song is a great song, but it didn't have commercial lyrics, so Dilated didn't blow, but Twista was willing to go commercial for his song. So it all depends.
