OMG!!!!!!!!Frost used to be Kid Frost before he joined Ruthless Records. His called the Godfather of Latin Rap because he was the first Latin rapper to come out. His an old school vet, his debut album was Hispanics Causin' Panic back in 1990, his lead single was La Raza and the album went gold. Same with his 2nd album, and his 3rd album was on Ruthless when Jerry wanted to start a Mexican N.W.A. group with Frost as the lead, A.L.T. and young Mexican rapper Slow Pain. The group fell through, but Frost released two CDs on Ruthless, and started working with the underground artist, Jayo, King Teee, other Latino artist. Baby Bash of Suga Suga fame was once Baby Beesh, and he was part of Latin Valvet with Frost and some other fools. But Frost was never like the other Chicano rappers. He can actually rap. He was the leader of the L.A. Latino era that included Cypress Hill, ALT (great lyrist for even NY standards), Mellow Man Ace, from the I.E. Lighter Shade of Brown. It was later that Thump Records tried to profit off of the Latin rap movement, and added Slow Pain and JV, both were good rappers, but not exactly the best Latin Rap had to offer. After Frost dissappeared in 1995 after his Ruthless debut Smile Now Die Later, Latin Rap disappeared with him, until Big Pun in 1998, and then it died with him but it looks like Baby Bash brought it back to life. But from 1990 when Frost came out to 1995, Latin rap was just as popular, at least here in Cali, as other forms of westcoast gangsta rap.Songs to check outLa RazaNo Sunshine (his best song, from '93 if you ain't into that old skool shit)Thin LineLa FamiliaLatin KingsBounce That AzzRaza Park
