Author Topic: Exclusive: New Daz Single "Do U Think About Me" [Mp3] (Dogg Pound Gangsta LP)  (Read 636 times)

Nima - Dubcnn.com

Hey ya'll, before I put up the interview we conducted with Daz Dillinger, I got some teasers for ya'll. We have Daz' brand new single from his new independent album "The Dogg Pound Gangsta LP" which is a remake of 2Pac's "Keep Ya Head Up".

The song is called "Do You Think About Me", and as Daz puts it, is something for the ladies. The Dogg Pound Gangsta LP is entirely produced by Daz, with no guest appearances except for hooks sung by the likes of Nate Dogg, George Clinton, Shorty B and more. This is the record he is dropping before his "So So Gangsta" album drops on So So Def, who are currently looking for a new distributor, and are in talks with Def Jam, Interscope and more.

We also have the new cover for the Dogg Pound Gangsta LP up, view the full version by clicking on the thumbnail to your left!

Anyways, enough talking, for now check out what we got for you below:

Yeah this track is nice.

I don't think it's a remake of "Keep Ya Head Up". He just used the same Zapp & Roger sample from "Be Alright". This new single is nice though. Real laid back and chillin'. I prefer Daz with his harder tracks rather than this laid back vibe he been doin' for his singles "Party People", "Boyz N The Hood", etc.

Daz decided to put out a new album instead of that mixtape? Could this be his way of sayin he aint Def enough for So So?

Sounds like a mix of What's Your Fantasy and It Might Sound Crazy. But it sounds likeDaz's shitty ass production might be behind him...hopefully. This is the Life I Lead was terrible even though a lot of the tracks were produced by Mike Dean.

Thanks. Looking forward to hearing the new album, specifically the track with George Clinton (How the hell did Daz get him?).

Most hip-hop is now keyboard driven, because the majority of hip-hop workstations have loops and patches that enable somebody with marginal skills to put tracks together,...

Unfortunately, most hip-hop artists gravitated towards the path of least resistance by relying on these pre-set patches. As a result, electric guitar and real musicians became devalued, and a lot of hip-hop now sounds the same.
