The way I see it, Snoop has 3 carrer paths he can head down:

1.) The pimp persona: Snoop has been flirting with this, hanging with the Bishop, making Pimp songs,  doing his porno, etc..

2.) Bring back the Funk: Snoop has the power to bring back the funk like no other artist. You can see him messing with this idea by doing songs with bootsy and appearing with many famous funkateers in the Nike Commercials

3.) Gangsta: He could do this, but I dont know how people would take it. Plus like DJ Quik said: " I don't get it, I mean, you ni**az claim to be riddaz and thugged out, and super OG and all that old shit, but for real. What would you really rather be doing? Would you rather be in these streets scrapping and shooting with these ni**az, or somewhere with a blunt in your mouth, getting your dick sucked by a bad ass bitch?!"  

I think that these are the three most viable options for him to take... Holla back with what you think

It's nothing different really. I mean, He's alwayz kept it Gangsta.. and he's alwayz kept it Pimp. Since Doggystyle he's been Rollin Down Tha Strees Smokin Indo... and at tha same time lettin them know It Aint No Fun If Tha Homiez Can't Have None.

You can't expect him to Rap exactly like he did on Doggystyle.. cuz time changes people. He's grown up now, he's successful, It'd be fake if he was still rappin about being locked up in Chino stabbing foolz... that wouldn't be real. And if you think that Pimp shit is fake.. then you probably dont know Snoop too well cuz he's been down with that since day 1.



Only thing I dont like about tha direction Snoop is going is tha Rumors I've heard about his new cd. Ja Rule? Neptunes? I mean, it's cool for Snoop to expand his mind and work with new people but why do they alwayz have to be tha people on top? Tha commercial people. He should just do his own thang, work off his own sound... give us Snoop... not MTV's greatest featuring Snoop. You know?

The way I see it, is his is doing a mix between all three and not doing too well with any of them. I think with doggystyle, he was ALL gangsta, and with the other releases, he tried to mix it up, and change things.... this is why we get a GREAT song from him every once in a while. he is trying to make great pimp, great funk, and great gangster tunes, so he only gets a hit song from one of those categories every once in a while. When he was all gangsta, he focused on one topic, and so he got 3 times as many dope tracks...
