Nope......I disagree.......Hip-Hop as its music and culture is bigger than ever now.......RAP is dying.
Yup Hatesrats on point as usual. Shit I'll expand it and say good music in general is dead. I know it's still out there, but its sparse and doesn't get recognition. I blame the major labels, radio stations and corporations who have made it too much of a business. It's all about who can find the next hot fad they can milk for an album or two.And I think hip hop in general has lost its spark, there's so much unoriginal recycled crap out there. It's just a part of the system now, it's not challenging anything musically or culturally anymore IMO.
Mr Loc? Damn, didnt recognize you till you started tearing down buildings...
Rap/Hip Hop wont be dead until my stereo breaks... There's alwayz gonna be people who like what we like so there's alwayz gonna be people doing it... it's probably just not gonna be as easy to find...And yeah, there's alot of wack shit out there but there's still alot of dope shit out there too.. I'm just waiting for them to release shit....
