All these numbers are from April-May of 2001......in other words, pretty recent. There is no way Doggystyle has sold an extra 2-3 million copies in less than a year. ROFLMAO. All Eyez On Me still sells more than Doggystyle, and even Eyez hasnt sold no fuckin 2 million copies within the last year.

Im not taking anything away from Doggystyle, cuz I consider it one of the greatest albums ever made. Hell, I was bumpin it last night as a matter of fact. But it hasnt sold no 8 million, and it sure AS HELL isnt Diamond. Few rap albums have sold 8 million or more. Only AEOM, LAD, the MMLP, and 2Pac Greatest Hits have, to my knowledge......However, Id say Doggystyle is a better album than LAD, the MMLP, and 2Pac Greatest Hits [this is a great album, but they left off alot of classic songs], even if it didnt sell as much. I wouldnt rate it better than AEOM though.

well hey man it's all good cuz i already know taht it has sold more than 8 million simple as that. i'm pretty sure behind the music didn't just fucken pull that number outta their ass and air it publically on television? i don't think they'd lie for no reason. i gotta go wit hellrazor,  its proberly at 6x platnium,  or 7x.  I dont see how since 96 it sold an additional 5 million.  Its not like snoop gained fans,  after all if u look at tha numbers he only sells 2 million now.  He has gained additional sales from some new fans,  people that lost there album,  those that originally brought it on cassette want it on cd,  an those thase that played it so much that they need a new copy.  I dont see how he could of got an additional 5 million sales,  i see 2 million tops maybe some more,  but no chance in hell an additional 5 million.  An secondly i find it funny how every1 is fightin over sales figures when most of you half tha time talk about how sales dont mean shit

^^^Whatever man. When I see Doggystyle listed as 8 million from Soundscan, ill believe it. But until then, im gonna say it sold 6 million, 7 million ABSOLUTE tops [and thats pushin' it].

And E.1999 Eternal, btw, was at the SIX million mark before Art Of War even came out, which was in July of 97'. Im surprised its only at 7 million, cuz that album still sells alot TODAY [about 10,000 copies a week, which is alot of an album over 6 years old].

But whatever, who cares how much the albums sold, as long as the music is good.

Now that, I cant answer, cuz Soundscan only tracks USA sales as far as I know. Ill have to ask my friend about that though, I could be wrong. Im sure its a lot though, cuz Doggystyle is an album that made alot of white punk rock kids like rap. I have a feeling EVERY SINGLE rap fan in Europe has that album, lol....

RIAA is indeed bullshit, however Soundscan ISNT. Trust me, it was about 690,000.............Besides Eminem, Snoop and Bone are the only rap artists to sell over 700,000 in the first week. Doggystyle did 805,000 in the first week, and Art Of War did about 788,000 [E.1999 Eternal, believe it or not, only sold about 430,000 in the first week, even though it sold more than AOW overall]. Some other big first week numbers:

All Eyez On Me: 557,000
Life After Death: 685,000
Makaveli: 664,000
And Then There Was X: 690,000

I remember when AOW first came and sold 780 g'z in the first week. I couldnt fucking believe it. I thought it was gonna outsell E.1999 Eternal, but the album ended staying on the charts for only about 60 weeks, while Eternal was on the charts for like 260 weeks, lol.
