Did You Hear? Run DMC in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

It's about time that hip hop's culture gets recognized for playing a big part in different music genres.  Run DMC is being inducted next month along with metallica in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame...it's so cool to hear that b/c i think the last big hip hop star to make it so far in was grandmaster flash. i could keep going about this but wat do u guys think?

What do you mean about time? The rules of the Hall of Fame are that you aren't eligible until 25 years after your first release. Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five are already in and got in the first year of eligibility. This is the first year of Run DMC Grandmaster eligibility. Who exactly was supposed to be inducted all these years that wasn't? A musical genius like Frank Zappa didn't get it in his first year and didn't even get in while alive.

"Shallow" i honestly wasn't aware of the rulz for the hall of fame...I'm just truly happy that Run is in and that hip hop is being recognized

Yeah i'm not even a rock fan but Metallica is crazy... I'm not a huge fan of their singer, but the guitar riffs are awesome.. my boy has sampled em like 20 times!  DMC def deserves recognition, too - they're getting interviewed about it, too sometime on this fuse show: http://fuse.tv/ontv/shows/rock-hall/  i didn't even know the Rock Hall of Fame switched from network to network, and says they're with fuse now: http://www.moderndrummer.com/viewfullnews/300001385/FUSE%20TV%20to%20air%20the%20Rock%20and%20Roll%20Hall%20of%20Fame%20Ceremony

lil wayne will never be in the rock n roll all of fame ever . lil wayne is overrated & sucks ass. LIL wayne could not even lick the shows of run dmc.

yea well Rev seems to think Weezy should be inducted...he said so in this interview  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4TIh...e=channel_page   I agree with ya'll though..he def dont..at least not yet..but either way i got respect Rev and I'm probably gunna check out the ceremony tonight.
