Finally gave the album a few spins. It's a decent album. Last album I enjoyed from Snoop was Blue Carpet Treatment. The mixing/engineering seems to be lackluster but will have to give it a proper listen in the ride. He put the spotlight back on the Death Row name by titling it as such but in my opinion, he would have been better off naming it something else.

Curious to see what happens next but it seems weird that Dre has absolutely zero interest in obtaining ownership of the label that he helped build and was such a historical time for hip/hop. Without Dre, I just don't see the "label" pushing out quality albums.

After hearing that yesterday it gave me chills.
A day later shit changed to just Snoop saying 'like we always do about this time'.

Thinking about the whole situation with Blackstone - they are not stupid. They use Snoopy as a marketing tool, while they still own the masters.

After a few listening this album is not really a grower. Just another mixtape like the rest of them. No concept, low replay value, the songs are cool individually but as a whole, it's a mixed bag. I get it, it's 2022 and some of the old rosters are no longer active or relevant but at least use some of the formula? Like Dj Quik, like Dr.Dre...
