N.W.A Re-Releases this Fall
« on: August 01, 2002, 05:02:01 PM »
Here's an Article I Found from Billboard.com.....

Priority Records is set to relaunch the original fury of hip-hop this fall with re-releases of N.W.A.'s classic "Straight Outta Compton" and "Niggaz4Life" albums, as well as a 19-song collection titled "The N.W.A. Legacy 2." The compilation, due Aug. 27, will comprise tracks by members of N.W.A. and associates, including the "reunion" tracks (with Snoop Dogg replacing the late Eazy-E) "Chin Check" from 1999's "Next Friday" soundtrack (Priority), and "Hello" from Ice Cube's 2000 Priority release "War and Peace Vol. 2 (The Peace Disc)."

That release will be followed Sept. 24 by a flurry of N.W.A.-related material, including rereleases of its seminal second and third albums, 1988's "Straight Outta Compton" and 1991's "Niggaz4Life." Both will come with new liner notes and bonus tracks. The digitally remastered "Straight Outta Compton" includes the tracks "Express Yourself (Extended Mix)," "Bonus Beats," "Straight Outta Compton (Extended Mix)," "A B***h Iz a B***h" and a live version of "Compton's in the House." The updated version of "NiggazLlife" will come complete with the 1990 EP "100 Miles & Runnin'."

Also due for a Sept. 24 release is a remastered edition of group member and Ruthless Records founder Eazy-E's first solo album, "Eazy Duz It," featuring new liner notes and bolstered with the addition of his 1992 EP "5150 Home 4 Tha Sick." Eazy (real name: Eric Wright) -- who formed N.W.A. with O'Shea "Ice Cube" Jackson, Andre "Dr. Dre" Young, Lorenzo "MC Ren" Patterson, and Antoine "DJ Yella" Carraby -- died in 1995 of complications related to AIDS.

Other tracks on "The N.W.A. Legacy 2" include Ice Cube's solo "Amerikkka's Most Wanted," Eazy E's "Eazy Duz It," and Snoop Dogg's "B Please" and "Lay Low."

I'd prefer a normal rerelease of N.W.A's "100 Miles And Runnin'".

DAMN! That's dope news...I bet we'll only get like 2 new NWA tracks, if even that though...At least it's better than nothing (which I was expecting)...Can't wait...

I like to hear it. Just hope that "The N.W.A. Legacy 2" will be as good as the first one...

it doesnt say we are getting any new NWA tracks at all. where you produce that from?

A lot of the stuff not on ordinary albums was already on the NWA Greatest Hits. Theres nothing listed that I don't have already. Having the 2 'new' tracks collected with other NWA stuff is cool though.
The 'legacy' volume 1 was tight. I want a copy of 5150 too, but i've already got Eazy Duz It  :-/

i tried to update nwa2k with this news (it still gets hit like a mofo) but the login pass appears to have changed  :'(

5 or 6 depending which editions (i have 2 1st edition copies, one signed by dre, and a second edition one.)

1) 100 Miles And Running
2) Just Don't Bite It
3) She Swallowed It
4) Sa Prize Part 2
5) Real Niggaz
6) Kamurshol

The later version doesnt have Real Niggaz (which is on efil4zaggin anyways)

p.s.. track 4 is also known as "fuck the police part 2"

Yeah, I can't imagine any NEW, UNRELEASED material from OLD N.W.A.  We can hope though.
