dubcnn.com: Whatup Soopafly?
Whatup whatup, Soopafly here, Dogg Pound, 2005, we over here overseas, doin'
it big in Germany, London, Amsterdam. Havin' a good time, Snoop Dogg tour,
Game openin' up for us. Doin' it real big. Higher than a muthafucka right now,
but always need some more weed! *laughs*

dubcnn.com: So what's been your favorite spot on the tour till now?

 Favorite spot? Amsterdam...

dubcnn.com: That was a big ass joint ya'll smoked on stage [in Amsterdam]!

Yeah, yeah it was Amsterdam. That was a big joint... We be walkin' outside
smokin' over there, it was tight out there, always good out there.

dubcnn.com: So wassup wit Soopafly's music?

Workin' on it now... Halfway done! I'ma finish up the rest when I get back,
you know what I mean? Trying to finish it up, West Coast shit. It'll be
  crackin'!

dubcnn.com: What's your sound right now?

You can't put that in words.. It's just a new sound. I'll let you hear it.
It's the same shit, it ain't really that different, it ain't like "Wow, that's
a different Soopafly!" It's gonna be the same, more of the same shit that
ya'll needed more of, so... It's gonna be a whole album, 2005! Hopefully by
the end of this summer. We still workin' on it.

 dubcnn.com: Wassup wit Latoya [Williams]?

 Toi... I don't know.

 dubcnn.com: You don't know?

 ...

dubcnn.com: You not dealing with her anymore?

I don't know. She got a big head right now, so... You know, we workin' it out.

dubcnn.com: So what's the next record on Doggystyle?

 Me!

 dubcnn.com: You're next?

 Yeah.

dubcnn.com: How come it took you so long to get a record out?

Uh... Bullshit. Helpin' everybody else out. Really workin' on Toi's record,
  you know.

dubcnn.com: So y'all did a whole record on her but it's not coming out?

We don't know yet. It depends on how that business situation go. We're not on
Geffen anymore, so, however it works out.

dubcnn.com: Wassup with the Pound record?

The Pound record... Everything else is gonna be after my record. Except for a
Snoop Dogg record if he decides to put one of his out, but other than that,
it's my record. Then we will probably come back and do a Pound record. I know
Daz he eager to work on something, and we can always get Snoop on something,
so.. We'll see how mine works out and we'll go from there!

dubcnn.com: You gonna be hookin' up with Bad Azz in future?

Yeah! I'll work with him on this one if I find his ass! I'm always gonna fuck
  wit him that's my nigga!

dubcnn.com: Yeah he workin' on his new album too right now!

I know, I seen him. Talked to him a couple weeks before I left. You know he be
in the streets all the time, so. I'll hook up wit him we gone do somethin'! He
  always good with me.

dubcnn.com: And what do you think of this? *Free Tray Deee Shirt*

Yeah I seen that! Free Tray Deee huh. Yeah, I think he need to be free. He
[Yash] is right! That's my nigga, Tray Deee, for life!

dubcnn.com: Yeah he just got 8 years, you probably heard about it.

Yeah, yeah I know. But Tray Deee strong, Tray Deee a real nigga, he a real
  gangsta so...

dubcnn.com: You gonna be networking with him again when he gets out?

Who Tray Deee? Yeah always! That's my nigga, always!

 dubcnn.com: What about Goldie Loc?

That's my nigga, always! I fuck wit both of them! I knew them sepparately, I
knew them before they was the Eastsidaz. So I fuck wit them all the time! I
don't take sides when it comes to my friends, whatever problems they got, they
gotta deal wit that theyselves. But Soopafly is cool with everybody. Unless I
got a personal problem with that person. And I Don't, so I'm cool wit them.

dubcnn.com: Ya'll gonna do a new Welcome 2 The Chuuuuch, or is that done?

I don't think we done, we just slowed it down a minute, Snoop is busy, you
know what I mean? He doin' movies and shit, goin' around and doin' all kinds
of shit. I'm workin' on my thang, I ain't trying to put no other songs out,
I'm trying to just do my shit first. So when he gets back, and has some free
time, we'll probably do some shit. We'll put some songs together and have a
Volume 10! I think that's where we left off, Vol. 10...

dubcnn.com: I think we had Volume 10 already...

 We had Vol. 10?

It was probably a fake one, I don't think we had Vol. 10.. Well the real Vol.
10 we'll be workin' on the muthafucka real soon, we only came up with 9 of
them. I don't know about that other shit.

dubcnn.com: What do you tell people sayin' you just Snoops yes-man?

Oh that's what they say? I say Yes! *laughs* I ain't gone say shit, cause them
is just the haters, you know what I mean? Niggaz be mad, they had they
opportunity to come around, and do what they had to do, and they just flopped
and fucked it off. A nigga can't say they came around and made as much money
as me. No nigga, no nigga! So, they say Yes-Man? Yeah! I pull out that bank
account and say Yes to that too.

dubcnn.com: Okay, Soopafly you know you sang that song-

One more thing, before you continue, who said that? Let's get personal!

dubcnn.com: Nah I just get emails from the fans about what they wanna know.

 Oh okay, okay.

dubcnn.com: Aight, that song you sang, "Can You Control Your Hoe". Will you do
  more songs where you're singing?

Yeah. Yeah I'll do more. I'll do anything man. That was actually a Welcome 2
  The Chuuuch song.

dubcnn.com: Yeah I was surprised to see it on the record!

Yeah, he decided to put it on the record, I guess he got a good response from
it, so he put it on there. It's like that old school, you know how Eazy E and
NWA and them used to sing on they record. They used to do the same shit,
clownin shit. That's all it was.

dubcnn.com: Yeah tonight at the show too when you sang that song..

I sang tonight? What did I sing?

dubcnn.com: That Snoops Upside Ya Head you sang at the end.

Oh! Yeah! That Gap Band shit, yeah you know a nigga be doin' all that kinda
  shit.

dubcnn.com: Ya'll didn't perform that song in Amsterdam..

Nah, nah, he just decided he wanted to do it, you know, he just felt that song
  so we went with it.

dubcnn.com: So how do you feel you have evolved from your Death Row days, to
  now? Musically, as a artist..

Just more fully sounding with my music, I know where it's coming from. I know
where alotta of our music really originated from now. Back then I was just a
kid just playin' music not really knowing what I was doing. Now so being
grown, and hanging around Snoop and listening to oldies all the time, I just
got a better perspective on just music, period. I met alotta people I wanted
to meet, musically, and just grew up. My sound is different, it's more broad,
changed with the times, and just kept it going!

dubcnn.com: Is there anybody else left that you'd like to work with in the
  future?

I met Quincy Jones, but I would love to work with him. I'm thinking old
school... Young cats is cool, but everybody knows the old school people paved
the way for all this shit. So, I would like to work with people like that,
  before they dead and gone.

dubcnn.com: What do you think of Game's success?

I like it man, the West Coast needs somebody like that to come back and do
something besides the Snoops and the Dr. Dre's. I told him, like I'm telling
ya'll, I'm 100% behind him, and everybody else from the West Coast needs to
get behind him too, as far as just the West coming back. If they want the West
to come back like the East and the South is rocking, then that's what we need
to do. Stop hating so much, stop trying to Gangbang on niggaz so much and
sepparate gangbanging from music. And get out there and support Game, support
whoever else comes after Game, and keep doing it. That's the only way the West
  is gonna come.

dubcnn.com: He's opening hella doors for new artists.

Yeah, exactly, exactly. Snoop, Cube and Dre, they solitified. Quik, he
solidified. They don't have to help nobody else. They can come up with records
every year and sell their millions. But as far as the people under them, the
underbosses, like the Pound, shit like that. We gotta click up and start
uniting, and start getting behind our other West Coast artists. Even if they
is from the other side, we still from the same side, Westside! So I'm behind
him 100%. Plus, I like his shit, the nigga be busting! He ain't hard to like.

dubcnn.com: Who are your top 5 artists from the West Coast right now that you
would like to see blow up?

I don't even think we got 5 artists... I'ma say 1, and that's me. But other
than that Daz, you know, I gotta go with my niggaz first. I'd like to see Daz
back out there, the Pound. I'd like to see... I don't know whatever happened
  to Short Khop!!

dubcnn.com: Yeah I been lookin' for him too!

Him... Suga Free, I'd like to see Suga Free do his thang. Oh and the
Alkaholiks. I'd like to see them come back out and put they HipHop formula in
the game again. And that's about it right now.

dubcnn.com: Have you talked to Kurupt in the last year?

Nah, not at all. He's still around?

dubcnn.com: Yeah, I kicked it with him this summer.

 Oh he alive? Oh...

dubcnn.com: He doin' that Riflemen shit.

 Huh?

dubcnn.com: You know, the group consisting of Mobb Deep, Kurupt, Jayo & 40
  Glocc.

 .... Oh.. Okay.. Alright! *laughs*

dubcnn.com: Alright well that's about it for the questions, do you have
anything else you want to add?

Just lookout for the album man, Soopafly workin' hard!

dubcnn.com: You got a title yet?

I ain't got a title yet, I'ma let the music come first, and when I finish it,
I'ma come up with that later on. But I'm almost done with it, be checking for
it later on this summer, 2005. Dogg Pound 4 Life!
