Bigg Snoop Dogg's ninth album "Ego Trippin'" is getting closer to its release, which is March 11th, and while "Sexual Eruption" is doing its thing on the radio,a new song from the album has leaked out called "Neva Have 2 Worry".

I want to introduce you all to Short Dawg Tha Native, an indian rapper from the reservation of San Manuel. He's from the Yuhaviatam tribe in Southern California, and is trying to get his name out in the rap game.

His musical influences came from his step father - one of the best known drummers in the Inland Empire, and his mother, who fronts her own band. He recently opened up for Tech N9ne on the Tech's MLK 2007 Tour, and released an album called "Short Stories", which features Bad Azz and Mellow Man Ace, through Voodoo Nation Records.

I have a couple of tracks from the album available for ya'll to check out to get a feel for Short Dawg. The first one is called "Still Ghetto", a deep and laid back song about his trials and tribulations growing up:

news Bone Thugs N Harmony - Canadian Tour Cancelled - January 30, 2008 By : JustinL

Dubcnn has just been informed that the upcoming Bone Thugs N Harmony tour dates in Canada have been cancelled. The group was denied access by Canadian Customs because of their past criminal history, and their music was considered to be too violent. Bone Thugs had sold out dates in Calgary (1/30), Vancouver (1/31), Winnipeg (2/1), Edmonton (2/2), and Victoria (2/15) to promote "Strength and Loyalty" and the "Ruthless Thugs" release. The group was able to successfully tour Canada last year with no problems, so this comes as a surprise to both the artist and fans. Dubcnn will keep the readers updated with more news regarding this issue.

news Young De Writes "YOUR SONG" - Everyone Read! - January 30, 2008 By : Eddie Gurrola

After being featured prominently on our site this past year, Young De came to Dubcnn with an idea to give back to the readers of our fine community. When you hear De's street album "Audio Hustlaz Vol. 1", you'll get his whole life story. By the time the record is done, you'll understand who he is and where he's coming from. Since we're all family here, De feels its only right to make a new song that will let YOU air your story out to the world as well.

What is your story? You don't need to lead a lavish life to enter in this project. You can write about anything that means something to you, what you believe in, what you represent, or what you like to do for fun. After you've decided what you want the world to know, send an e-mail in to eddie@dubcnn.com with your name and where you're from.

NOTE: Any e-mails that involve hate or disrespect toward others will be immediately disregarded.

De will take all of the submissions that he gets and create a Dubcnn Anthem for 2008 that will tell the stories of the readers of Dubcnn! This is "YOUR SONG"!

EVERYONE who submits their name and/or life stories will be featured directly on the record. De doesn't care how long the song has to be. As long as everyone gets represented, that's all that matters!

"Your Song: A Dubcnn Anthem For 2008" will be included as a bonus track on De's street album "Audio Hustlaz Vol. 1" when it drops on February 7th. You've got to get your submission in by February 5th, 2008 at 12 AM PST so De can record the song in time for the drop!

We can't wait to hear what your story is, so don't hesitate to enter the contest if you want the world to know about YOU!

If you have any questions about this project, please don't hesitate to contact me at eddie@dubcnn.com. We don't want anyone to miss out on the opportunity to be a part of this!

news Jozeemo Is Telling "The Untold Story" - January 27, 2008 By : Lil Jay

Hall Of Justus member Jozeemo has been putting in a lot of work and making noise in the last few months, not only in his home state North Carolina, but the Hip Hop community as a whole. He got people talking after dropping an outstanding verse on "That Ain't Love" from Little Brother's "Get Back" album. But before people even got a chance to hear him on that song, he released his own project called "Cry Now L.A.F. Later" around the same time.

While "Cry Now L.A.F. Later" is still being pushed as his priority project, Jozee just put out a free Mix-CD called "The Untold Story" earlier this week. It's a combo of some of his body of work, past, present and future and it serves as an introduction to draw people's attention to the street album.

"The 'Cry Now L.A.F Later' album is the one that's out in the stores, and 'The Undtold Story' is a free project that serves as an introduction," Jozeemo told Dubcnn. "A lot of people know who I am right now, but not too many people have heard my music. So I'm giving them something free so they can hear what I sound like, and maybe they will go buy the album after they heard it. The free mixtape is strictly to promote whatever I got going on, which is 'Cry Now L.A.F. Later'."

"Cry Now L.A.F. Later" features his next single "Lose It" featuring Little Brother and the current single "Ya Hear Me" produced by 9th Wonder, which he recently shot a video for. Jozeemo is also focusing on his own imprint Blockhuggerz Entertainment and the artists signed to it, so you can expect more of that gully Hip-Hop from East Durham!

The album was filled with good Hip-Hop from top to bottom, something everybody could relate to, nothing over the top, and that is exactly the line Ev pushes with the second video off "The Weatherman LP".

He picked the song "Chase The Clouds Away", produced by Alchemist, and this video shows that low budget doesn't necessarily mean crappy. Directed by Nicholaus Goossen, the video has a positive vibe to it, and should definitely be checked out by everybody.

Watch the "Chase The Clouds Away" below:

Evidence - Chase The Clouds Away (YouTube Video)

Spread this around, and incase you haven't picked up "The Weatherman LP", I urge you to do so asap. We'll have some news on Evidence's current projects for you on dubcnn soon, until then watch the video and chase the clouds away!

We are looking for our big homies, the Game's, Snoop's, Dre's and E-40's to hear us and reach out to us with some support, so we can show the world that the west can come together as one.

Dubcnn brings you the I.E. track which is destined to put these 2 talented artists on the map:

news DJ Nik Bean Announces Huge Plans For 2008 - January 15, 2008 By : Eddie Gurrola

DJ Nik Bean has just issued a huge press release regarding his latest projects. We're going to drop the whole thing for you to read today, so check it out below, and don't forget to visit DJ Nik Bean on Myspace!

"Renowned Los Angeles-based DJ Nik Bean has announced plans today to release a new mixtape project every week during the months of January, February, and March. This is exciting news for fans of California hip-hop, who have quickly come to recognize Nik’s mixtapes as a street-savvy source of quality music. While Nik has created compilations for West Coast legends like Ice Cube, Tha Dogg Pound, and Jayo Felony, he is most well-known for his ability to highlight the best in new artists, as evidenced by his projects with emerging superstars Hot Dollar and Glasses Malone.

Nik, known in the streets as “The Mixtape Hustler,” will be on the grind more than ever with this three-month long mixtape extravaganza. A highlight from the set is “Streetz Of L.A. Volume 4,” the latest installment in Nik’s highly successful West Coast mixtape series. For this fourth edition, Nik has teamed up with L.A. radio heavyweight Felli Fel and Atlanta’s mixtape champion DJ Drama to create what will assuredly be one of the biggest mixtape releases of the year. The involvement from Drama and Felli Fel, the latter of which recently signed with Atlanta-based So So Def Records, will combine with Nik’s California-bred mentality to make the project a cross-country success in more ways than one.

Nik and Felli Fel have teamed up to release four other projects together during this blitz. A Valentine’s Day release with lyrical firestarter Crooked I entitled “The St. Valentine’s Bossacre” will hit the streets as a surprise gift. The project will feature a variety of new and previously unreleased material. Mixtapes with G-Unit’s Spider Loc, renowned writer Problem, and Aftermath-signee Stat Quo will also come from the newly formed powerhouse team. DJ Felli Fel’s debut project “Go DJ” is set for an early 2008 release. A video for the nationwide hit single from the album, “Get Buck In Here,” will be released next week. You can purchase “Get Buck In Here” from iTunes by clicking here.

Nik has many more projects to put out. Solo mixtapes include “Sonically Correct” with Watts star Bangloose, Sillk Calone’s “By Way Of South Central,” and releases from Roscoe Umali and Yung Berg. Nik has also teamed up with Atlanta’s DJ Scream and “The Butcher” DJ Vlad for a mixtape with 2Five titled “Talk Is Cheap, I Plead The 5th.” The Bay Area will be excited when Nik drops Balance’s “Unsigned Legend” alongside the highly-respected DJ Rah2K as well.

With over ten mixtapes ready for release, Nik is giving the public many more reasons to call him “L.A.’s Mixtape King.” However, it won’t be long before the “Mixtape Hustler” steps into the retail album world. Nik has officially started to record material for his full-length debut album, tentatively titled “The Hustler’s Manual.” The project will feature an all-star lineup of West Coast acts and some very special surprise guests from other regions as well. Fans can be on the look out for the album in stores later this year.

Nik is also starting “Streetz Of L.A. Radio,” his weekly radio offering. The first episode will air on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Shade 45 channel in the beginning of February. In addition to all of these music projects, Nik is also putting together a new DVD magazine that will be released four times annually. “Street Certified” promises to give viewers a look at the inner-workings of the hip-hop world. Artists like Crooked I, Rick Ross, Mistah F.A.B., and Glasses Malone have already contributed to the first issue, which will arrive in stores next month.

DJ Nik Bean is starting 2008 off with a loud bang on the West Coast that will be heard across the nation. The three-month long mixtape blitz will simply solidify his spot as one of the hardest-working, and most prominent, mixtape DJs in the game."

news Roscoe Umali, Bobby Valentino & E-40 "Live It Up!" - January 13, 2008 By : Nima

Usually, dubcnn is a place where we break new artists and introduce them to the world, but sometimes it goes the other way around and we gotta jump on something that's already popping. Roscoe Umali has been on dubcnn before, but it's about time we properly introduce the Philipino native from Los Angeles to our viewers.

I know a lot of people are like hold up, Roscoe? That's Kurupt's little brother! No, this is Roscoe Umali, different person. He adresses this issue on his song "Illmind", featuring J. Black, where he spits:

"Just to get the record straight/I am not related to Kurupt in any way/except that he spit and I spit/we both spit the hotness/and he got a younger brother that be lookin nothin like me/but we share the same name[...]".

Roscoe Umali is managed by Sway & King Tech, and has recorded with Talib Kweli, E-40, Raekwon, DJ Muggs, DJ Khalil to name a few. Right now, the man has got the number 1 independent song in the country with his latest single "Live It Up", which features Bobby Valentino on the hook, and a verse from the Ambassador of the Bay E-40. The track was produced by Aftermath's Focus, and it's a certified banger!

Make sure to check out "Live It Up" right now and get with the hype:

Roscoe Umali - Live It Up (ft. Bobby Valentino & E-40 (Prod. by Focus)

Roscoe Umali - Live It Up (ft. Bobby Valentino & E-40 (Instrumental)

This version of "Live It Up" is a remix to the original, which originally had J. Black singing the chorus instead of Bobby V. They recently shot a video to the remix, and Topic, Hot Dollar, Bangloose, Stylistic Jones, Damani, Another Level, D.K. All Day, Amil G Dae One and the homie Mash were a few of the cameos that showed up.

We're going to hook up with Roscoe Umali for an interview very soon to get the whole scoop on him, until then hit up his MySpace page to hear some more music. Here are a few promo videos from Scoe that you can check out:

Be on the lookout for more news on Roscue Umali on dubcnn soon, until then bang that "Live It Up"!

news "Sounds Like Money" For Kontroversy Committee In 2008 - January 13, 2008 By : Rud

"In an industry based soley on gimmicks, Kontroversy Committee is hoping to shake the business" - so reads the introduction from this new group we are here to introduce today.

Kontroversy Committee is a duo outfit that consists of ON 1 and E-luzhen. Originally from Los Angeles, the pair learned that growing up on the streets of L.A. is a tough life. Gang violence led both ON 1 and E-luzhen's families to up roots and move out of Los Angeles area to more "family friendly" neighborhoods.

ON 1, who's family originates from Guatemala, grew up in Inglewood, CA before relocating after twelve years to the Antelope Valley where he resides today. E-luzhen grew up in a Mexican-American home in the San Fernando Valley, just outside of Los Angeles. When E-luzhen's family moved to the Antelope Valley, the pair met and Kontroversy Committee was formed.

Kontroversy Committee suffered a set back in terms of a group when E-luzhen was suddenly moved back to the San Fernando Valley. As an individial he continued to grind and stir up a buzz that led him to work with artists including Kurupt and Ras Kass. During this time he also came to the attention of Suge Knight, whom we are told, planned to sign the youngster prior to his incarceration that caused the deal to fall through.

Today, Kontroversy Committee is back together as a unit and making music that is turning heads. Far from the typical "Chicano Gangsta Rap" people may expect, Kontroversy Committee are delivering a fusion of Hip-Hop and R&B instrumentals with lyrics littered with creative metaphors and an infectious style.

We have news of Kontroversy Committee's album that is almost ready to hit the streets. "Sounds Like Money" is being unveiled at an Album Release Party (see flyer) on January 18 and, under the label name, A.L.A.N.E. Entertainment (All Latinos Are Not Equal), ON 1 and E-luzhen are ready to be the new representives for the Latino culture.

If you are interested in hearing music from "Sounds Like Money" - that features appearances from Techniec, Young Noble, Chino XL and Crooked I - we urge you to check them out on MySpace where you can download the current singles.

For those of you who can make it to the Album Release Party (see flyer) in Tarzana, CA, you will be treated to performances by Crooked I and Techniec - who will be performing tracks they contribute to on the new album "Sounds Like Money."

During the show Kontroversy Committee will be shooting their video so ensure you head out and show your support and perhaps get featured in the clip! Get more details as well as the audio downloads of the current singles from Kontroversy Committee's MySpace page.
