news Daz Talks About Kurupt's Comments - March 30, 2005 By : Nima

As ya'll probably heard, WCRydaz.com put up a statement from Kurupt Young Gotti, where he basically said that he would be down to get back with Daz & Snoop Dogg, for a Dogg Pound Reunion.
This is what all the fans have been wishing for since the breakup in 2002. I quickly caught up with Daz, and it looks like all parties haven't agreed to this yet, however it is not impossible.

"Ask him if he's still with Suge Knight!", Daz said. "Aslong as he's with Suge Knight & Death Row, ain't no way in hell I'm fuckin' with it!"

A reunion seems possible though, after the obligatory fight Daz wants to have. "I'ma have to beat his ass first. Then we can talk. He can do this thang. I know Snoopy been talkin' to alotta cats. And my name keep poppin' up! I ain't worried about that..">.

Hopefully we'll see something good come outta this, because we all know Snoop, Daz, Kurupt, Bad Azz, Soopafly, Nate Dogg etc were at their best when they were all together, united, as the Dogg Pound Gangstas.

news Suge Knight Ordered To Pay $107 Million - March 30, 2005 By : mrtonguetwista

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A judge has ordered Marion ``Suge'' Knight to pay $107 million to a woman who claims she helped the rap mogul start Death Row Records, ruling Knight and his attorneys failed to answer questions and provide information in the case.

Superior Court Judge Ronald M. Sohigian ordered Knight and his companies, including Tha Row Inc., to pay Lydia Harris, who claims she is owed money from the recording label she helped establish.

Lydia Harris is married to Michael ``Harry O'' Harris, an imprisoned drug dealer, who has claimed he put up $1.5 million from behind bars in 1991 to help start Death Row Records. Knight has repeatedly denied that contention.

The judgment includes $60 million in punitive damages, $45 million in economic damages and $2 million in noneconomic damages.

The judge issued the judgment earlier this month after finding that Knight and his attorneys violated court rules requiring them to answer questions by and providing information to Harris and her attorneys.

A phone call to a Knight attorney seeking comment was not immediately returned early Wednesday.

In her 2002 lawsuit, which didn't reach trial, Harris claimed she and Knight in 1989 became equal founding partners of Death Row Records. When Knight realized how lucrative the label would become, he pushed her out, Harris claimed.

Harris said Knight defamed her in hopes of destroying her credibility in the music industry and with new artists.

``His conduct made it clear that he did not intend to honor his agreement or pay the shares of profit due her,'' said her attorney, David Casselman. ``He also publicly insulted her and falsely accused her of promiscuity and incompetence.''

Knight has had a series of legal and criminal troubles.

In 2003, he was ordered to pay $5.5 million to managers of artists who accused him of stealing one of their acts.

Knight was released from prison in 2001 after serving time for assault and weapons violations. He recently served an additional 10-month prison sentence for violating his parole and striking a Hollywood nightclub valet.

news Snoop Dogg & DubCNN At It Again! - March 25, 2005 By : Nima

Bigg Snoop Dogg hits up DubCNN.com again to broadcast a message. Tha Doggfather has been working behind the scenes and is definitely going to be shaking the rap game up real soon. It's a NEW MOVEMENT, definitely, to bring the West Coast back on track.

Snoop hit us up to let us know a little bit about what's coming.

"It's basically a movement. It's a muthafucka trying to put the West Coast in the proper perspective. As far as just unifying and organizing. And once I get with the players from the West that matter, that make a difference, that really need to be at this muthafuckin' situation, we will proceed to give you more information, and have you with us so you can check it all out with your own two eyes." [Audio: HERE]

Snoop Dogg is eager to get this West Coast shit cracking again, and as he said unifying everybody. He's going to be calling a Western Conference real soon, to make all this shit official, of course, DubCNN will be in the house.

This will also help to break new artists from the West in the game, who haven't shined yet, aswell as veterans still putting it down. "Definitely fucking with new artists, definitely. And this is basically just to help get over all the bitterness of artists that had deals, and can't make it, give them some love, and at the same time open the doors for them new acts!."

Snoop is well aware that it's hard nowadays to make it if you're not affiliated or signed to an already established artists. "It's like this. Dre or Snoop. Dre is fuckin' with none of ya'll. And I'm tired of niggaz trying on their own, doing their thang, and not selling. Every nigga that I rap with that ain't even from the West Coast somehow sell a million records. So why can't I do it for my niggaz at home? Even the niggaz that I don't like, that got attitudes wit me, that hate on me. I can suck it up and become a business man and show them that they shouldn't hate me but they should love me cause I'm a window of opportunity.".[Audio: HERE]

When I told him that alot of his fans were afraid he turned his back to the West Coast when he signed to Star Trak, he replied "I'm not signed to the Neptunes. I don't even know how that got out! I'm on Doggystyle Records! If you noticed everytime you see my video, you see my shit, it say Doggystyle/Star Trak/Geffen. It's a business move! After I left No Limit, I refused to be signed to anybody else! I'm a boss!" [Audio: HERE]

He also spoke on upcoming projects on Doggystyle Records. Soopafly's upcoming album is set to come out on there, aswell as possibly the D.P.G. album that's in the works as we speak.

But the main topic of this update is the Western Conference. This is more than just an event, or just a project, or just a record, this is a whole Movement. I'm not going to let the cat out the bag just yet, but I will bring ya'll more detailed info on this real soon. "The Western Conference. We need this! We need something to organize niggaz, unify, and have some type of leader that they can look up to in this game, from somebody who can really stamp they shit! I'ma put the plan together in the next couple of days as far as getting all the figures together that should be a part of it and run it past them. Once I run it past them, it's up to them to execute it!". [Audio: HERE]

You can also catch Snoop on tour with The Game right now nationwide. "We about to jump on that tour together. This shit is going to be a program that can work, if ya'll want it to work. If ya'll ain't with it when I come back home, cool! I'll keep doing me ya'll keep doing ya'll. But if ya'll with it when I come home, you gotta have your shit together!". [Audio: HERE]

This is just the beginning of what DubCNN and Snoop Dogg are going to bring you. Until we get the shit fully cracking, check out an exclusive drop from Snoop for the site below:

news D/L: Snoop Dogg - Signs [Video] - March 21, 2005 By : Nima

Snoop Dogg third single off his current album "R&G: The Masterpiece" is the song "Signs" with Uncle Charlie Wilson & Justin Timberlake. Personally, I'm not a fan of this song at all, Snoop justified the choice in our interview by saying he went pop on this one, he's been gangsta his whole life, and he aimed at the pop crowd for this one.

Whatever the case, this is his new video, I have it up here for ya'll to download (40MB, High Speed), shouts to my man Wood for his help.

Check it out below:

Westcoast rhyme king Crooked I is officially in the studio working on his upcoming debut solo album, now titled "Boss Music".

news D/L: "Just Watchin" 2Pac, D.P.G. & Charlie Wilson - March 16, 2005 By : Nima

This is a special hookup for all of the fans of unreleased West Coast music from the Death Row era. Tons of songs from the inmates have leaked throughout the years, and another song has been making the rounds on the internet.

I'm talking about the song "Just Watchin'", by 2Pac, Snoop Doggy Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound & Charlie Wilson. The song is produced by Daz Dillinger, known as Dat Nigga Daz at the time. Listening to this song reminds you of how f*ckin' good the Dogg Pound & Pac sounded together.

I have it up once in CDQ MP3 for the people on broadband, the file is 7mb big. I also have a lower quality version up (3MB) for all of our dial-up visitors to download.

Here we go:

news Mixmaster Spade NOT Dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - March 14, 2005 By : SGV

Dear Hip Hop fans,

West Coast rap pioneer Mixmaster Spade is in grave condition due to injuries from a motorcycle accident that took place 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, I reported that Mixmaster Spade had passed away. This information is incorrect. It’s not that my sources weren’t reliable ones because the folks who told me this dreaded news are people close to Spade. The confusion came when the family agreed to take him off life support. There were a few of his friends there that actually said their good byes to the rap pioneer. They had no idea he was still alive. According to his brother Joe, Mixmaster Spade started breathing on his own once he was taken off the ventilator. The hospital then put him back on support and are currently running more tests. We will keep you posted on his condition. At this time we asked that you keep Mixmaster Spade and his family in your prayers. Thank you.

Peace,
The Poetess

news Important info on purported mel-man comments - March 11, 2005 By : Overseer

Several sites have been creating stories based upon posts by a user on dubcnn's official forum at dubcc.com without permission.

People who post on our forums know the facts, however it is easy to see how the casual observer could make the jump based on his unfortunate choice of username.

Here are the REAL facts

1) This information has been lifted from posts by a user on our forum called mellowmanisback. This user has repeatedly stated HE IS NOT MEL-MAN. He has also stated that although he says he is connected to Aftermath his comments are to remain on the forum.

btw.. a sidenote.. one site misposted his name as mellowmanisba (without the ck). You can tell which sites steal news from others instead of doing their own legwork if they've propogated this error!

2) No one has ever asked for or been given permission to take quotes from our forum by myself (I am the sole owner and adminstrator) or the user called mellowmanisback.

3) dubcc.com is NOT run by dubcnn.com. We came first by several years. In fact dubcnn.com is a spin-off of dubcc.com! However dubcc.com is dubcnn's official forum.

Please help us stamp this BS out by posting this information whereever this topic is being discussed.

news Introducing: BLEU COLLAR - March 10, 2005 By : mrtonguetwista

Los Angeles has two new heirs to the hip-hop throne, Reese One and Basik MC aka, Bleu Collar. Bleu Collar has been compared to duos such as UGK and Outkast for their astounding chemistry and dissimilar rhyme styles. "We run a fine line. We are not gansters, but we are not backpackers either" Basik says.

Basik, first gained underground fame in a group by the name of Loe Lyfes at the age of fourteen. From there he went solo and eventually hooked up with Eligh of the infamous Living Legends. Basik was featured on two of Eligh's projects before releasing his first solo effort, Apex Predator. The extended EP became one of the top sellers on the LLCrew.com website. After being featured on several projects including the Righteous Brothers project Metropolitan Music Group released his first full length solo album entitled, At the Mercy of the City, which sent his underground fame through the roof.

Introduced by a mutual friend, Basik linked up with Reese One who he felt complimented his style unlike no other which now represents his best work yet.

Reese One who brings his extremely clever and blunt rhyme schemes has been rapping since the tender age of 12. Reese One holds no cut cards for any song, topic, or issue. Known as one of the most feared battle rappers in Los Angeles, the constant challenges sharpened and honed his rhyme skills into, Reese One. In 1994 Reese collaborated with the legendary Tupac and Bay Area star, Mac Mall on a song titled, "Young Black Brothers". Since then, he has written for various artists. Now Reese One has his heart and Soul behind Bleu Collar. "To me Bleu Collar's chemistry is like that of Kobe and Shaq, or better yet. Magic and Kareem" says Reese One.

Bleu Collar is the essence of what Los Angeles is truly about. "When Los Angeles came in to the music scene with gangster rap it blew up the spot, that's the only sound that has been exploited and stamped as West Coast sound" explains Reese One. However, he feels gangsters are a small minority in Los Angeles, and Bleu Collar's style represents the majority with a unique and complex rap style untapped by the mainstream market.

Creatively, rap is at a stand still, and Bleu Collar brings an end to the stagnation with songs like, "Makin the Rounds" and "And a night with the Mayor and Chuck Taylor" that showcase the group's intriguing personalities and personifies their 'ahead-of-our-time style. There is no question as to why their music is so magnetizing.
Bleu Collar addresses the issues of the common folks, not the "iced out jewels" or drug dealer stories that are ears are currently saturated with. Bleu Collar represents the real issues we all go through with an undaring flair and creativity.

Sit back, relax and be prepared for the next reigning heirs to the hip-hop monarchy. Basik and Reese One are on one accord when it comes to purpose. "Bleu Collar is solely interested and dedicated to bringing innovative and creative music to the masses.

news "Oowee" Information (See Previous Update) - March 10, 2005 By : Rud

Just researched into the kid Oowee and got some information on him for those interested, here's a feature that was done on him in by OZONE Magazine in December 2004.

“I’m a real street nigga, shawty,” Oowee brags, puffing on a cigarette. “A real street nigga is any man that’s willing to hold his own under any circumstance and be true to his word.” Of course, this is a standard claim coming from any rapper. But Oowee can back it up – even though he’s only nineteen, he’s already got stories for days. Still a teenager, he confidently approaches grown women with a swagger and demonstrates the mannerisms of a grown man. Oowee’s always been ahead of his time. At age thirteen, he was already driving. He recalls a situation where he’d picked up an older friend and they got pulled over. “I got caught up in some stuff that I ain’t got nothing to do with,” he remembers. “I didn’t even know he had work on him. I almost had to do a bid. He finally told ‘em [the drugs] had nothing to do with me.” Despite the street influences around him, Oowee was able to get focused on a more positive career by making use of his musical talents. Born and raised in North Carolina, he moved to Atlanta a year later at age fourteen – alone. He quickly became the flagship artist of Bogard Music, who signed a deal with Warner Bros’ “incubator” for independents, Asylum Records. His single, “Chain Swangin’,” features fellow Cak-A-Lak native Petey Pablo and has been getting play on radio stations throughout the Southeast. The video, in which Oowee and Petey party side by side in a club he’s probably not even old enough to get into, also appears on BET Uncut. His upcoming album, the appropriately named Mannish, will be an ample platform for the young’un to flex his superstar skills." Photo and words courtesy of OZONE Magazine.

L.A. residents might have heard this song on the radio recently. Snoop got a new song out with a new artist that goes by the name of Oowee, called "Why Cry". The song sounds like a tribute to "Doggystyle", as the beat samples Murder Was The Case, the raps take parts of Gin N Juice, Lodi Dodi and more. I don't have much information on Oowee, all I could find out was that he had a single out with Petey Pablo called "Chain Swingin'/Don't Play".

news 50 & Game Kiss & Make Up (Literally!) - March 9, 2005 By : Nima

Here is the official press release:

Perhaps selling 1.1 million copies of his new album in four days has softened the heart of 50 Cent. Or maybe he has so many feuds going, he can afford to let one go.

On Wednesday, 50 Cent and The Game publicly squashed a bitter feud that had erupted into gunfire last week after 50 kicked Game out of his G-Unit clique for disloyalty.

The two platinum-selling gangsta rappers didn't exactly kiss and make up. When they emerged before a media throng at Harlem's famed Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, both looked as if they'd been shoved into apologies by a stern mother.

But they did shake hands, albeit at the end of the press conference, after speaking about contrition and the need for peace.

50 noted that Wednesday was the anniversary of the unsolved murder of Biggie Smalls in 1997, the culmination of a rap war between Biggie and Tupac Shakur that pitted East Coast against West.

"We're here today to show that people can rise above the most difficult circumstances and together we can put negativity behind us," said 50, a native New Yorker. "A lot of people don't want to see it happen, but we're responding to the two most important groups, our family and our fans."

"I just want to apologize on behalf of myself and 50," said Game, who's from the Los Angeles suburb of Compton. "I'm almost ashamed to have participated in the things that happened in the last couple of weeks."

50 presented an oversized check for $150,000 to the Boys Choir of Harlem. Game donated $103,500. It was not clear why Game chose that amount or whether he had been reinstated in G-Unit; no questions were taken at the press conference. They also both made contributions to the Compton schools music program.

Is the truce sincere?

"Of course it was genuine," said hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, who was at the event. "They stood on stage together."

At the very least, it was a remarkable concession for rappers who routinely brag about killing their enemies.

"It is the first time we've seen 50 publicly take a step back" from a battle, said Elliott Wilson, editor in chief of the hip-hop magazine XXL.

In a statement earlier Wednesday, 50 Cent said: "I'm launching a new foundation, the G-Unity Foundation, Inc., to help people overcome obstacles and make a chance for the better in their lives ... to help them overcome their situations. I realized that if I'm going to be effective at that, I have to overcome some of my own. Game and I need to set an example in the community."

50 Cent has always set an example — usually as an unapologetic criminal gleefully wreaking havoc on other rappers. He almost single-handedly dismantled the multi-platinum career of Ja Rule by relentlessly targeting him in songs, magazines and his 2003 debut, the eight-million selling "Get Rich or Die Tryin'."

Last week 50 released his sophomore CD, "The Massacre," which including a song attacking rappers like Fat Joe, Nas and Jadakiss for making a record with Ja Rule. But his beef with Game was unusual because it involved a member of his own camp.

As 50 was on the radio announcing the expulsion of Game from G-Unit — apparently because Game wouldn't turn his back on some of 50s many enemies — Game's crew rolled up to the station. Guns were fired inside the lobby and a member of Game's posse was wounded.

Game is a protege of superproducer Dr. Dre, who put Eminem (news - web sites) on the map, who in turn made 50 Cent a superstar. They're all on the same parent label, Interscope Records.

Those relationships probably played a hand in Wednesday's reconciliation.

"It's pressure for 50 to look at it from a business perspective and not a personal perspective," Elliott said. "I think the press conference was forced by the mainstream media's reaction to the incident. They don't benefit on a business level to be associated with violence."

Could the whole thing have been a publicity stunt for two rappers with albums in stores now?

Elliott doesn't buy it. "There really was a beef. I think there was a genuine conflict that 50 felt The Game was unappreciative of all the work he did on his album ... and Game is feeling like, 'I'm my own man now.'"

But the two have apparently decided that they have more to lose going against each other.

"I think (50) will continue to beef with other artists," Elliott said. "But to beef with your own artist and someone who you're in business with, it doesn't help you."

news The Game In Vancouver CANCELLED - March 6, 2005 By : Adon

The Game had a show sheduled this Tuesday March 8th in Vancouver. The show has now been cancelled. Here's the official statement from the promoters:

"In the 12 years in which Gman & Rizk have been doing events, the 8 years that spectrum has been doing events, and the 8 years in which Tigerstone has been doing events, none of us have ever cancelled or postponed a show unless an artist-related health matter or family emergency suddenly arose. In regards to The Game, we confirmed a show for March 8th at Plush. He subsequently postponed our date until April 3rd, a new date he confirmed with us. From there just a few days later, he asked us to switch back to March 3, and re-confirmed our original date, all the while inconveniencing not only ourselves, but our media sponsor The Beat 94.5, our retail sponsor Dipt Urban Hookups, and you the fans. Today, we were once again asked to move the date. We've developed thick skin over the years as promoters - we've dealt with countless problems, most of them we solved without you the consumer even knowing. We've been able to work through problem-ridden events with no one but ourselves being inconvenienced - but, always, we fixed what needed fixing and gave you what we promised. With regards to this show, literally everyone involved was and is getting inconvenienced with the sudden changes in dates and we have not been given reasons we find acceptable. We have the option of confirming April 3rd once again, but we choose to no longer put you, our loyal supporters through yet another date change. The word "confirmed" is not being taken seriously enough by The Game for our liking, and we wish to not put you through the roller-coaster ride any more. We have chosen to cancel The Game concert altogether and as a result we will be eating the costs of radio ads, print advertising, etc., whereas you will all be entitled to your full refund at point of purchase. Had we chose to re-confirm April 3, there existed a chance of yet another sudden date change not related to a health matter of family emergency. You deserve better. That said, we hope that you see this clearly as a matter that was out of our control, one we tried to work through. And we hope that you will continue to support Gman, Rizk, spectrum, and Tigerstone as we have been working and will continue to work hard at providing you with THE BEST urban-music events this city has ever experienced.

Yours Sincerely

news Who Is Mike Jones? - March 6, 2005 By : SGV

Within four short years in the rap game, Houston heavy hitter Mike Jones has gone from a fledgling rapper struggling to get his records in rotation to one of the most well-known game spitters on the southern underground. And with the release of his SwishaHouse/Asylum/Warner Bros. Records solo debut, the world will soon know exactly Who Is Mike Jones?

Already a household name throughout the South and Mid-West, Mike Jones gained regional fame on more than two dozen now legendary SwishaHouse "screwed-up" mix tapes. Known for his amusing metaphors, witty punch lines and charismatic freestyles, Mike Jones set himself apart from other rappers by constantly repeating his name throughout his rhymes and hooks then following with the question "Who?"

With a legion of devout followers faithfully answering "Mike Jones," the self-proclaimed "king of the streets" has dropped three underground solos and spit unforgettable verses on highly praised independent compilation The Day Hell Broke Loose 2 and collaborative effort 1st Round Draft Picks with indie artist Magno.

"I used to go to clubs and give deejays my CD," he remembers. "They’d be like ‘who are you?’ And I’d be like ‘Mike Jones.’ And they’d be like ‘who?’ Mike Jones. ‘Who?’ Mike Jones."
He continues, "Then, I’d go home and tell my grandmomma I gave a couple of deejays my CD, and they didn’t know who I was. She said ‘just start saying who? Mike Jones. Who? Mike Jones.’"
Heeding his grandmother’s words of wisdom, Mike Jones incorporated her marketing scheme into every rhyme. He even put his telephone number 281-330-8004 into his verses.

"The whole concept of the album ‘Who Is Mike Jones? coming soon’- she told me to do that," says Mike. "She was like ‘give them your number to keep in touch with the people who’re helping you move your momma out of here.’ That’s what I did."

The plan paid off, making Mike Jones an underground sensation. Unfortunately, his grandmother passed away before she could see her grandson’s dream materialize. Mike Jones immortalizes his grand groove in a yet untitled song that will be featured on Who Is Mike Jones?

Raised in north Houston’s Stude Wood area, Mike Jones began rapping in 2001. Going for self, he started his own label Ice Age Entertainment and earned a name throughout Houston with his self-distributed Ice Age Vol 1. The buzz caught the attention of SwishaHouse owner DJ Michael Watts, so Mike Jones opted to curtail his own label and sign an artist deal with the indie powerhouse the following year.

"The fame was big in Texas," he says, "but when I got with SwishaHouse, it went from Texas to everyplace else." In fact, Jay Frank, head of programming and label relations, Yahoo! Music states, "Through most of 2004, Mike Jones was outsearching [Interscope's] The Game, so we knew that his first single would explode on Yahoo! Music. With over 500,000 plays every week, there's no doubt that Mike Jones will be a huge sales story for 2005.”

That fame is extending even further as Mike Jones’ jump off single "Still Tippin’" featuring label mate Paul Wall and Star Track signee Slim Thug is steadily heating up radio, MTV and BET audiences. Accompanying the video is a separate screwed version as well.

"I was hot off of Ice Age. I got with SwishaHouse and got hotter," he boasts. "Now that SwishaHouse is with Warner Brothers, we got even more hotter."

And he doesn’t intend on cooling down any time soon. Along with delivering one of the most anticipated CDs in the south, Who Is Mike Jones? will also include a chopped and screwed remix version of the album.

"Where we’re from, (screw) is a big issue. People like to hear (music) slowed up," he explains. "Some people like it regular, but they might put the screwed version in and find out they like the screwed version too.”

"I think people wanna know what screw is about," he continues. "They’ve been hearing a lot about it, and they wanna experience it." Soon, the world will know what the southern underground has known for some time now and will have no reason to ask Who Is Mike Jones?

If you've been living under a rock, here's the "Still Tippin' video.

news Andre, Is The Rap Game Really Gangsta???? - March 5, 2005 By : Nima

"Warning!! Your view of the Rap Game will self destruct in 4:21..."

DubCNN is the name! We back with a WORLD PREMIERE. South Central rapper Young Dre, who caused alot of controversy with his interview we did with him last year (check that here), is back, cocked and ready to take off! He talked about the song "Rap Game Ain't Gangsta As Me" in the interview. "My lil brother's on the beginning on the intro, 8 year old boy, watchin' videos on TV, and he asks me "Is Snoop Dogg a gang member, and why are his fingernails long?" and I tell'em like "I don't think Snoop's a gang member, he grew up around the gang, and maybe his fingernails is long to represent some kind of sniffing cocaine, or some shit!" But it's hard to tell a child that when you wanna be real with them, and they askin' you is 50 Cent a killer, is whoo whoo whoop and this and that, and you tell them these dudes is acting on TV. And these dudes is proclaimin' somethin' that they actually not doin'! It's actually entertainment! And in that song, I speak on a few cats, from Puffy, to 50, to Dre, to the South the Birdman, to Fabolous, to Jay-Z, to Nas, I just speak on the truth! You feel me?", he said about the song.

The track has also angered several record label execs who heard it, but hey, you know DubCNN, we don't censor shit. As Snoop Dogg said, "DubCNN, where they give it to you raw and exclusive". So let's jump right into the track, "Rap Game Ain't Gangsta As Me", this is a world premiere!

-=| Young Dre - Rap Game Ain't Gangsta To Me (WORLD PREMIERE)|=-

Also make sure to hit up Young Dre's official website youngdrethetruth.com. Big shoutout going out to Mack, the KC3 Monumental Family and of course Young Dre himself.

Check back right here next week for a new interview with Young Dre aswell as other goodies.

news Game Disses G-Unit Live (Video Clips) - March 5, 2005 By : SGV

What up everyone? Yes, another chapter in the G-Unit/Game drama was written last night at the Vault 350 in Long Beach. I wasn't able to attend, as I was handling things at a show of my own (more on that soon), but I was able to get the scoop on what happened at the show. My boy Juda Starr filled me in with what went down. He told me that Game was on stage and started yelling out "50 Cent can suck my dick, Young Buck can suck my dick, Lloyd Banks can suck my dick," and went on naming the entire G-Unit, as well as Violator (50's Management company). Courtesy of DaPhatSpot.com you can watch 2 clips of it. The first clip is very grainy and was shot in the VIP section, but you can see Game on stage starting the chant. The second clip focuses on the big T.V. screens, which makes it more clear and shows Game saying a name (e.g. 50, Lloyd Banks etc.) with the crowd ending with "Suck my dick." Check it out for yourselves.

Here is a review of the show writting by the homie "caffeine" from the Siccness.net boards:

"Gane starts off by telling the DJ....(Who happens to be DJ QUIK) "cut the muthafuckin music i wanna clear some shit up! Im in my home town!! Long Beach is right down the street from COMPTON"....so he takes off this bulletproof vest and the boy is HEATED!!! MADDD AS HELL! In Games wordz......FUCK 50 CENT ABOUT 100 TIMES....FUCK G-UNIT......THEN HE STARTS NAMING ALL OF THE G-UNIT LLOYD BANKS, TONY YAYO, ETC...calling them all bitches etc etc... saying if they wanna kill me they know where im at on the corner of wilmington and in cpt!

Then he told the story about the incident in NYC how once he heard what was being said from the G-UNIT camp he took his whole Cedar Block Set up to the radio station where G-unit was at. GAME said the G-UNIT camp went out the back way and told the security guards that there was some bloods outside causing trouble! GAME said that the security guard just came out blasting and got one of his homies.

So in all the songs he sang hes ripping the G-UNIT camp a new one!!! Killing them off....freestyling, FUCK 50 (I KIDD YOU NOT LIKE 100 TIMES) He gets cut off by LBPD rep that was watching over the show....then GAME is like im gonna end the night like this .......i heard and watch what 50 said on 106 & park!! but fuck that...dem Niggaz wanna try to work things out........I QUIT G-UNIT!

The GAME is no joke, homies!! Once we got outta the dam show it was crazy!!! they closed down like all of downtown long beach, there was cops in full riot gear, the ghetto bird, everyone ended the night chanting FUCK 50 F**K G-UNIT! GAME WALKED ALL THE WAY TO HIS DRESSING ROOM YELLING THAT!!"

news Immortal Technique Video Interview/Show - March 4, 2005 By : SGV

"Homicide Harlem! Blaow! What's the problem?"

We here at DubCNN pride ourselves in bringing you the illest Hip Hop features on the net. Yes, we're a primarily West Coast site, but sometimes, there's artists so important, that it doesn't matter where they're from. Today, I have the honor to drop on ya'll a HUGE feature. At the Latin Rap Conference this year in San Diego, I was privleged enough to chop it up with Immortal Technique.

We were able to sit down for an In-Depth interview with the Harlem emcee. We talked about his up coming album Middle Passage, the racism of Spanish television, his run in with the law in Colorado, Classism in the U.S., how Latin Hip Hop can progress, the politics of the Hip Hop game, his time on the Warped Tour and of course, President Bush and the Government. We touched on many other subjects as well. Tech elaborated on everything, holding nothing back.

Even though the Camera died during our first meeting, we were able to snag Tech to finish the interview. For those who've never seen an Immortal Technique performance, you're in for a treat! He granted us the chance to be on stage during his performance. We caught it all on tape and included it in this feature. He performed "Bin Laden," "Harlem Streets," "Peruvian Coke," "Point Of No Return," "Caught In A Hustle," and others! He dropped a few accapellas, as well.

At the moment, the transcription isn't finished, but with help from Demics, the webmaster for Immortal-Technique.com, it'll be up by this weekend, at the lastest! 56Kers, leave your computer all day, it's worth it!

So enough talking... Here it is! Spread the word, tell your peoples!

news Member of 50 Cent's Entourage Shot @ Hot 97 - March 1, 2005 By : F Sharp

A member of 50 Cent's crew was wounded in a shooting at New York's Hot 97 Monday night (February 28) just as 50 Cent was making an appearance at the radio station to announce that the Game had been booted from the G-Unit.

Police said a man in his 20s from Los Angeles was shot in the left leg during an altercation at the station and was taken to St. Vincent's Hospital. The injury was not serious, and the victim is expected to fully recover.

An NYPD spokesperson offered no additional details about the incident, and initial reports differ as to whether the young man was affiliated with 50 and his entourage. New York's FOX affiliate reports that the rapper and his crew were escorted from the building via alternate exits following the shooting and escaped harm.

The shooting occurred while 50 Cent was appearing on Funkmaster Flex's radio show, where he told the DJ that the Game had been excommunicated from G-Unit because he feels the Compton rapper isn't loyal.

50 told Flex he was disappointed with comments Game made on the station Saturday night, when the West Coast MC revealed he would not be getting involved in the beefs 50 is stirring up with "Piggy Bank."

50 also said Game should stop saying "G-Unit." "He thinks he's doing me a favor when he says that."

During his conversation with Flex, 50 claimed Interscope was going to drop the Game until 50 stepped in and got involved with The Documentary. 50 also insisted that he's making more money off The Documentary than Game is, and that he wrote more choruses than he's credited for.

Believe it or not, Game was on Hot 97 earlier in the evening, talking to host Angie Martinez. When listeners called in to ask about his and 50's problems, Game simply said he was going to continue to make "good music." Two nights prior, Game had said on-air that he and 50 did not have to be friends as long as they worked toward that same common goal: making good music.
