Since April 2007 we’ve been talking about the highly anticpated new album from “Living Legend” Murs. Since signing to Warner Bros Records Murs has been working on “Murs For President” and the album is now ready for release on September 30, 2008.
Back in November you had the first chance to hear material from the album in the Nottz produced then lead single “Better Than The Best” [ Quicktime Low | Quicktime High | Windows Media Low | Windows Media High]
Then in January “Better Than The Best” spawned a video which you can watch on Dubcnn here. Since then his time has been taken up with the Paid Dues and Rock The Bells festivals which were once again a huge success. Last month Murs re-emerged with the acclaimed “Sweet Lord” free album release alongside regular co-collaborator 9th Wonder – if you missed that download it now.
Recently word got out that “Murs For President” was being mixed down by none other than DJ Quik. Today we have some new video for you that was shot backstage at Rock The Bells festival in San Bernardino. DJ Quik appeared on stage during Murs’ performance and then later was filmed talking about Murs and the new release “Murs for President.”
