Only 5 days left until Stanley “Tookie” Williams execution, and the HipHop world is in an uproar. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said Friday he would meet December 8 in a private hearing with Williams’ lawyers, Los Angeles County prosecutors and others involved, to consider Tookie’s clemency.
Schwarzenegger has the authority to commute a death sentence to life without parole, but he is not obligated to hold a hearing.
Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, Daz & Kurupt recently got together for the Battlecat-produced track “Real Soon“, a dedication to Tookie, and many other important figures have been speaking out against the execution of Tookie, who became an anti-gang activist while in prison and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
