Fresh off last months “The Lost Tapes” release, the ever busy presence of XL Middleton is back in studio working on his latest solo album “Barliament Drunkadelic” due in August 2007.
We have the single from the new release entitled “I Don’t Like You” for download below. The song, which features Bo$$, tackles a particular issue in Hip-Hop – we asked XL Middleton to explain; “With this album what i’m trying to do is not just come with that regular party music. Every song [on the album] is addressing an issue or situation of some sort.”
“With this track [I Don’t Like You] in particular i’m addressing all the clice bullsh-t in Hip-Hop music right now and right now a lot of rappers are not helping the current situation in music with the tired ass lyrics about sh-t we have all heard before. Even if you spit ot cleverly, do we really need to hear it again? It’s time for us as a people to take Hip-Hop back.”
