Earlier this week Aftermath Entertainment recording artist Bishop Lamont kicked off his “CALTROiT” world tour in Europe with a show in Denmark on October 9th alongside Black Milk and Guilty Simpson.
The shows will see Bishop cover much of Europe before heading back to the U.S for shows in New York, Detroit and Toronto before the finale show on November 15 in Los Angeles. The full tour dates and venues can be seen below.
Almost as soon as the tour kicked off, rumors started circulating on internet forums about Bishop Lamont being dropped from Aftermath. Dubcnn reached out to Bishop himself to get the facts straight from the horse’s mouth and put an end to the senseless rumors.
"I always hear these kind of rumors myself, even when I’m on tour and they start in some n-ggas garage" Bishop laughed. "These cats are not doing anything and they wish the worst for me, but they can’t block my blessings. They wish I would get dropped from Aftermath, they wish I didn’t have Dre, Focus, Khalil, Pete Rock, Premo and all of them working with me. I’m just happy n-ggas talk about me, cause it will have their b-tches talk about me. And oh yeah, I just got my first track from Quik too! I’m blessed and I’m going nowhere, I’m one of the last artists on Aftermath." Bishop told Dubcnn.
"As far as my album, we’re finishing it while working on Detox" Bishop continued. "So it’s not just up to Dre, people don’t understand it’s a whole company that makes decisions. The people at the top don’t give a f-ck about the music, they give a f-ck about the money. And they ask what’s more important: to bring out a new artist and spent more money or put out Dr. Dre and make a whole bunch of money!"
