As one of Sacramentoメs premiere producers, Big Hollis played a major role in shaping the Sac Town sound and one of the unsung architects of the Northern California sound. Though he stayed on an underground level, Big Hollis has produced for Snoop Dogg, Bone Thugs, Bad Azz, Bun B, Daz Dillinger, The Game, Lil Flip and Mac Dre just to name a few.
He is now picking the microphone back up as a rapper and getting ready to drop his new album, titled “West/South“. The album is currently slated for a mid-August release through Pudge Boy/Out Of Bounds Ent.
The production was handled by Big Hollis himself, his nephew Preach, Cosmo, Jay Keez and long time collaborator Vince V. “West/South” brings together the West Coast/Sacramento sound with just enough down South flavor to appeal to heads on both coasts.
And if that’s not enough, Big Hollis enlists the lyrical prowess of Bun B and Lil Flip to keep the bi-coastal party popping.
What we have for you today is the the official “West/South Mixtape“, which is sort of like a prequal to the album. Check out the 25-minute mix below:
