As Jay pointed out last week, the first Kendrick Lamar project, The Kendrick Lamar EP from late 2009, was one of the last releases that had captured the imagination and upheld the anticpation of a whole host of online and offline fans of the genre.
Last week the long awaited follow up “Overly Dedicated” was made available on iTunes for only $5.99 featuring 13 songs with appearances from Ab-Soul, Schoolboy Q, BJ The Chicago Kid, Ash Riser, Dom Kennedy, Murs, U-N-I, Skeme and others.
“OD” features nothing but quality music ﾖ and most of all it’s different from anything you will find today. It looks like Kendrick pulled it off and created a project just as good as his previous one. Today we wanted to follow up with two videos from the project that have been released online, the first “P&P 1.5” with Ab Soul and the second “Cut You Off (To Grow Closer).”
