February was the last time we heard from Mykestro on the solo tip, following up from his Set Precedent record, featuring Kendrick Lamar over production by Battlecat in October last year.
In those February updates we dropped off Oooh Wii – which shows why he’s one of the west coasts finest lyricists – over a Macado production as well as Hammertyme which saw him rip up over Soulja Boys “Speakers Going Ham” instrumental.
Those tracks, and indeed the reason for today’s update, are all building up to the long awaited LP “The Barmittzpha” which we now believe to be complete and almost ready for release.
At the start of this week Jay-Z and Kanye West digitally released their Watch The Throne project [ read our review] and from that LP the “Otis” single has been recorded over by pretty much everyone in the industry [most notably the Game “Uncle Otis (Jay-Z Diss)” version] and today one of the very best on the West, Mykestro delivers “Strotis” – you know when ‘Stro’s involved he kills it.

Stay tuned right here for the latest news and media from Mykestro and “The Barmittzpha” release, due later this year.
