In 2002-2003 Season Juaquin Hawkins had realized his lifelong goal of becoming a professional NBA basketball player being the oldest rookie in the league at the time. Unfortunately tragedy struck him. A little over a year ago Juaquin suffered a debilitating stroke. His doctors predicted he might never be able to engage in physically exerting activities let alone play basketball professionally again. He proved them wrong and is now playing for the Los Angeles Lightning of the IBL, in addition to his charitable work with his foundation. We got to link up with him at one of his camps.
