Featuring G. Dep, Grafh, X-Raided, and more, the West Coast lyricist delivers a new seven-track project with a fresh, playful energy.
Three decades into a career built on sharp lyricism, fearless perspectives, and some of the most cerebral bars to emerge from Los Angeles, Ras Kass continues to prove that real MCs never stop evolving. With that said, Ras Kass returns with his new seven-track EP, Fallout, released today, exclusively through REVINDICATED.
Serving as the follow-up to his first full-length album in five years, Leopard Eats Face, Fallout brings together a lineup of notable collaborators, including G. Dep, Grafh, X-Raided, and more.
Alongside the EP, Ras Kass has released the official music video for “Summer Jam,” directed by William Porche and is available on YouTube.
The track serves as the project’s lead single and carries an interesting backstory. Ras Kass originally attempted to sample the song’s source material nearly two decades ago, but the idea never fully came together at the time.
Rather than letting those records collect dust, Ras Kass turned the creative detour into something of its own.
The result is a project that reflects the unpredictable nature of the creative process: sometimes the records that don’t fit anywhere else become the foundation for something entirely new. With that said, stream/purchase Fallout below, and remember keep it locked to DubCNN.com – the hub of the West Coast.
