1202234096 - January 1, 1970 By : A lot has happened since we last updated you on Vancity's C-Infamous and Chronico Music Group. While 2006 and 2007 saw C transcend musical boundaries by remixing singles for international pop chart-topping princesses Jolin Tsai & Avril Lavigne, Infamous and his Chronico crew started 2008 off with a bang by returning to their original form. Chronico artist affiliates Famas and Phixx Cravin recently opened up for Fabolous in Vancouver.
Also in attendance for the show were Shade Sheist, N.U.N.E., and Canadian old-schooler Maestro Fresh Wes. While they were in Vancouver, Shade Sheist & N.U.N.E. linked up with C-Infamous and hit the studio. Shade has it all on YouTube for you to check out. As you can see and hear from the videos below, they're cooking up some heat!
Shade Shiest, N.U.N.E., and C-infamous In the studio 1

In the meantime, we have some C-Infamous productions for you to check out. First is C-Infamous' Relit of Shade N.U.N.E.'s "Baby We Can Do It"

We also have an unreleased gem that C-Infamous recorded with G-Hoodfellas' Tiny Kurupt & TC along with Bizzle from YA

1219446406 - January 1, 1970 By : As we all know, there's basically two ways to remix a song: Either rappers can jump on a song, or a producer can take an acapella and put a new beat to the song. But it's not too often that we get both. But Shade Shiest and C Infamous have taken time out of their busy schedules to add new fire to Mariah Carey's "Lovin You Long Time". As far as remixes go, we're getting the best of both worlds on this one. C-Infamous created new music for the song, while Shade layed down a couple verses. This isn't the first time Shade has been on a track with Mariah, he was also featured on the Japanese release of Charmbracelet. Check out the song below:
Mariah Carey feat. Shade Shiest "Lovin You Long Time" (C Infamous ReLit)
The song is already getting radio play in Vancouver, and should be appearing on LA radio stations soon. Make sure to check out C Infamous & Shade Sheist on myspace. And stay tuned to hear more music from both of them.

1088535771 - January 1, 1970 By : The Pedestrian is walkin’ it like he talks it on this hookladen, jeep ready album slated for release by Blak Ice Records. Third Degree, who hails from South Central Los Angeles, grew up living right around the corner from Dub C of Westside Connection. “I went to Hiphop High,” says Third. “Washington High School was where I came up. A lot of hiphop people have gone there, like Dub C, Crazy Tunes from The Maad Circle, YoYo, DJ Alladin, and Sir Jinx, who DJ’s for Xzibit, and more. Crenshaw High may have had the sports people locked up, but Washington has had the music people.” Third Degree is destined to be the next hiphop alumni to speak with authority.
With rhymes constantly flowing out of every pore of his being, Third is definitely at no loss for words. The album, which is largely produced by the musically eloquent Yabie, is tightly packed with 21 serious tracks, including the runaway single “Do My Thang.” This quotable album is consistent all the way through, with no fillers or throwaway tracks. “I like real writers who have subjects and topics,” he professes. “I’m a purist kind of guy.” Third points out that Yabie’s work “sounded like music, it didn’t just sound like beats. He had a whole band of people available to play guitar, bass, all that. He thinks in a very musical way.” In this manner, he compares Yabie to DJ Quik. “He’s got a unique style. I can’t quite figure out his formula.” The single, "Do My Thang," will be out soon.
The battle-ready rapper’s name came his basketball days. “We called ourselves the Burn Unit,” he says. “We had names like Thermostat, Third Degree and Lava Rock.” Third’s government name is Wayne Guillory. “Like guillotine. It’s French,” he explains. “All my people come from Louisiana.” Either way, the world is his. It’s Wayne’s world, as he’s young, gifted and black, and prolific to an extreme.
His father was a coach, who lost his life to cancer. “My mom was real concerned about me after he died. That year, she asked me what I wanted for Christmas, and I told her. Had my father lived, I would have definitely not gotten those turntables!” he reminisces, shaking his head with a smile. Third became obsessed with hiphop with gospel-like devotion, and he began interpreting the world through the mind of a rhymesman. It seemed that every event in life was suddenly transformed into a searing rhyme by the verbal prodigy.
The prolific Third notes, “The single “Do My Thang” is a way to introduce me to people. I felt it was representative of where I was coming from. It lets people know a couple things about me, and I feel it describes me,” explains Third.
“My raps give people another view of Los Angeles. People who don’t live here think it’s all either gangbanging or Hollywood. L.A. is not all about being a gangsta. I just wanted to make this record about the regular person in L.A,” he concedes. Third believes there’s a lot of pressure to rap about banging, because some of the earlier great L.A. rappers before them. “People who don’t even gangbang,” he points out. “I think rappers should talk about what they do. If you gangbang and you rap, talk about gangbangin’ in your rap. If you sell crack all day, talk about selling crack all day. Whatever it is that is you. That’s what “Do My Thang” is all about. Just be yourself. If it’s you, do it. If not, don’t do it.” He adds, “Some of my best friends bang. But that’s them. It just never occurred to me to do that.”
As far as his home front, Third’s neighborhood is well-known for being Crips territory. “NHC, Neighborhood Crips. Them and Watergate Crips. They’re kind of borderline,” he observes. “Slip from Comptons Most Wanted, he stayed in the Watergate for a while. As far as the NHC, Dub C, Cube and Crazy Tunes stayed there.” He comments that there’s just one little street that separates everybody.
The intersection on the album’s cover is the nearby corner of Imperial and Western. However, in many ways, Third’s songs reflect corners all over the country, so his rhymes hit home with those who are both near and far.
Jay Z and Ice-T may have “99 Problems,” but Third says he has “Problems” of his own. “The reason I wrote the song “Problems” is that for some reason, people always come talk to me about things they need to get off their chest. So I listen a lot. One day I was arguing with my mother, and that was one of the things that came out. I’m not saying don’t talk to me about your problems. I’m just saying come back in a while, because I have mine to figure out.” Some of Third’s own deepest, personal predicaments are revealed in the song, including the fact he has a handicapped brother.
The inspired “Stylistic” is one of Third’s favorite tracks on the album. “I was listening to “Betcha By Golly Wow,” and I like to make up words to songs, so that’s how that came about. It’s basically telling people I have a new style here in L.A.,” says Third. “I studied niggas’ style and found what not to do, it’s the total opposite, I rock it better than you, whoever you are niggas bite and get trophies, a Grammy for their best Tupac on Karaoke.”
“Hit This 40” is a party song, and it’s also an anti-gold diggers song. Its 40 proof melody came about much in the same way, but it comes from a Chaka Khan song called “Night In Tunisia,” which Third used that part for the song’s chorus. Going even deeper, he explains, “It’s actually a remake of a Coltrane song or something like that she was doing.”
Observes Third, “The culture of Los Angeles is gangs, and people get influenced by it a lot, like the white t-shirts and all, so it definitely isn’t all hip hop here. However, I can take you to places here that are definitely hiphop. But yes, a lot of it is gang culture here. People in the parks out here aren’t breaking and rapping against each other; it’s probably drinking and smoking weed, and a fight is going to break out any minute. But still, there is definitely a hiphop community in this city.” The disc’s determined track “The One” is Third’s way of saying, “I’m entirely here for hiphop.”
With “Favorite Shade Of Brown,” it’s all good, and love comes in all shades to Third.
“Eye Candy” features Pupa Don, one of the illest West Coast dancehall cats.
There are a slew of other radio driven songs on the album, and the Pedestrian is no doubt, walking tall. You’re now at that intersection of hiphop beats and masterful rhymes, as the Pedestrian is making his way through your speakers.

1093507198 - January 1, 1970 By : All you Bay Area cats know Big Von through his shows on KMEL Radio. He has the infamous "On The Block" show with strictly Bay Area Hip Hop and much more. The homie C-4 from Xplosive Magazine took the time to sit down and conduct and in-depth interview with the man about the politics over at the radio stations and what it takes to get radio-play. Below is a little part of the interview, to read the full thing either pick up the new Xplosive Magazine or click here to read it on the Siccness board.
"What do you think about what gets played on the radio these days? “People always complain about the songs that get played on the radio, but if they was here all day and hear the phones ring and hear people request the sh*t, they would know. People think we sit here and think ‘let’s pick the most f**ked up song we could play, just to piss everybody off.’ NO! People seem to think that since I work inside the radio station I’m some sort of like corporate white suite type dumbf**k. NO! I’m from the same place everybody else is from, I just happen to know what goes on in here. Don’t think that I like the sh*t. I’m not a fan of a lot of the sh*t that goes on. Then you go ‘Okay this song sucks,’ but ain’t this the same song you watched on TV? Don’t blame the radio. MTV playin’ a thousand times, BET playin’ it a thousand times. He must really suck, there’s only a million people that bought his record.”"
It's a great interview, make sure to check it out!

Here, Koka told us how come he didn't release his "Ghetto Gospel" record, despite it being done, his spiritual situation (he turned to God after a prison sentence last year), his upcoming album "Take It Back To The Clap" and why he only used Fingazz on the production, aswell as the whole rap game, and his current relationship with Snoop Dogg. At the end of the interview he gave a very special shoutout to the website, so big thanks to Kokane from the entire staff for that.

1109215756 - January 1, 1970 By : "The story of the legend who inspired the biggest name in rap."
On March 8, 2005, Vision Plant Pictures, in association with Czar Entertainment, will release The Infamous Times - Volume I: The Original 50 Cent on DVD to eager home entertainment audiences everywhere. A powerful music-driven video magazine chronicling the nation’s most reputed street figures, notorious neighborhoods and the alluring frills of the fast life, this explicit exposé goes behind the stereotypes typically associated with legendary hustlers to uncover the true tales of pain and betrayal that all too often destroys their lives and, most times, finds them dead or in jail. Volume one of The Infamous Times has already shipped platinum to major retail outlets throughout the U.S. and is on pace to quickly become one of the best selling urban DVD’s to date.
Running 120 minutes, the main feature of this landmark series tells the true story of Kelvin “50 Cent” Martin, a cold-blooded crook who, armed with an arsenal of weapons, robbed, killed and extorted many of Brooklyn’s biggest hustlers at the height of New York’s brutal crack cocaine epidemic and from whom the multi-platinum rap superstar, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, borrowed his moniker. This is the true story of the legend who inspired the biggest name in rap.
Hosted by venerated columnist, actor and convicted felon, Bonz Malone, the subject matter echoes the insight, candid perspective and journalistic intensity of esteemed investigative programs like Dateline NBC and 20/20. Likewise, The Infamous Times is poised to be one of the preeminent urban DVD series of the decade, revolutionizing the genre with its blend of in depth coverage accompanied by a hard-driving soundtrack. Superbly helmed by pioneering video director, Froi Cuesta and the brainchild of acclaimed music impresario, Jimmy Henchmen, along with entertainment industry veterans, Tone Boots and Griff, the series aims to enlighten “at-risk” youth on the hazards of street life as it contrasts the glamorization of criminal behavior that is all too common in rap music and mainstream film and television nowadays.
“We’re taking them all to task…politicians, parents, the young generation,” says series co-creator Tone Boots, who is also the Producer of MTV’s Direct Effect. “This story is very dear and close to me because I knew the original Fifty-Cent,” adds Jimmy Henchmen, the project’s Executive Producer and manager of platinum recording artists such as The Game (Aftermath/G-Unit), Mario Winans (Bad Boy) and Black Rob (Bad Boy). “I’m honored to tell a story like this that influenced the biggest name in rap as we know it today.”
In addition to the true story of the original 50 Cent featured in The “G” Chronicle segment of the DVD, the Danger Zone profiles the Brownsville section of Brooklyn and uncovers the influx of the LA-based ‘Bloods’ street gang that has besieged the neighborhood’s housing projects. In the Paper Dolls segment of The Infamous Times their cameras go behind-the-scenes of one of the most popular gentlemen’s clubs in the country, Sue’s Rendezvous – made famous in the lyrics of many rap artists over the past few years. Also, the DVD’s bonus content includes an exclusive interview with Jimmy Henchmen; a profile on celebrity jewelers from Manhattan’s famed ‘Diamond District;’ and a photo gallery featuring the work of award winning photographer Jamel Shabazz – author of the celebrated photo essay, Back in the Days.

1110515662 - January 1, 1970 By : Los Angeles has two new heirs to the hip-hop throne, Reese One and Basik MC aka, Bleu Collar. Bleu Collar has been compared to duos such as UGK and Outkast for their astounding chemistry and dissimilar rhyme styles. "We run a fine line. We are not gansters, but we are not backpackers either" Basik says.
Basik, first gained underground fame in a group by the name of Loe Lyfes at the age of fourteen. From there he went solo and eventually hooked up with Eligh of the infamous Living Legends. Basik was featured on two of Eligh's projects before releasing his first solo effort, Apex Predator. The extended EP became one of the top sellers on the LLCrew.com website. After being featured on several projects including the Righteous Brothers project Metropolitan Music Group released his first full length solo album entitled, At the Mercy of the City, which sent his underground fame through the roof.
Introduced by a mutual friend, Basik linked up with Reese One who he felt complimented his style unlike no other which now represents his best work yet.
Reese One who brings his extremely clever and blunt rhyme schemes has been rapping since the tender age of 12. Reese One holds no cut cards for any song, topic, or issue. Known as one of the most feared battle rappers in Los Angeles, the constant challenges sharpened and honed his rhyme skills into, Reese One. In 1994 Reese collaborated with the legendary Tupac and Bay Area star, Mac Mall on a song titled, "Young Black Brothers". Since then, he has written for various artists. Now Reese One has his heart and Soul behind Bleu Collar. "To me Bleu Collar's chemistry is like that of Kobe and Shaq, or better yet. Magic and Kareem" says Reese One.
Bleu Collar is the essence of what Los Angeles is truly about. "When Los Angeles came in to the music scene with gangster rap it blew up the spot, that's the only sound that has been exploited and stamped as West Coast sound" explains Reese One. However, he feels gangsters are a small minority in Los Angeles, and Bleu Collar's style represents the majority with a unique and complex rap style untapped by the mainstream market.
Creatively, rap is at a stand still, and Bleu Collar brings an end to the stagnation with songs like, "Makin the Rounds" and "And a night with the Mayor and Chuck Taylor" that showcase the group's intriguing personalities and personifies their 'ahead-of-our-time style. There is no question as to why their music is so magnetizing.
Bleu Collar addresses the issues of the common folks, not the "iced out jewels" or drug dealer stories that are ears are currently saturated with. Bleu Collar represents the real issues we all go through with an undaring flair and creativity.
Sit back, relax and be prepared for the next reigning heirs to the hip-hop monarchy. Basik and Reese One are on one accord when it comes to purpose. "Bleu Collar is solely interested and dedicated to bringing innovative and creative music to the masses.

1112647358 - January 1, 1970 By : The third installment of the Anger Management tour will be on the road beginning July 7, it was announced today. This will be the first tour Eminem has done since the November 12 release of his latest album, Encore, which is approaching five-times platinum sales in the U.S.
Joining Eminem on tour for all but the first two dates is 50 Cent, whose new album, The Massacre was released on March 8, and has already sold almost 3 million copies. This is the first U.S. tour that pairs Eminem with partner in rhyme 50 Cent. Like Eminem and his Shady Records family, this will be a family affair for 50, with G-Unit joining him on the road. 50 Cent is just beginning to shoot his film debut, and due to the movie's production schedule he will be unable to appear at the first two dates, Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH. Ludacris will be taking his slot for those shows. King of Crunk Lil Jon along with his East Side Boyz will start of the night off right for the entire tour.
"We've been waiting for the right moment to go on tour, and it all finally came together," said Eminem. "We wanted to put together the best lineup we could...I'm always trying to top the last tour whenever I go out. I think we're really doing it this time."
Eminem's entire Shady Records family will be on the road with him for the five and a half week run. Besides hearing songs from Encore performed live for the first time, concertgoers will see performances from D-12, Obie Trice, and the newest addition to the family, Atlanta's Stat Quo, who recently signed to Shady/Aftermath and is already creating a buzz at press and radio. Shady artist and award-winning mixtape king Green Lantern will, as usual, be behind the turntables.
50 Cent added: "Whenever I get together with Em you know it's going to be hot. Right now, I don't see anything that will stop this from being the tour of the summer. You better put in for that time off from the job now, before somebody else beats you to it. Or quit your job so you can see every show."
Those who can't quit their jobs can tune in to Sirius Satellite Radio's Shade 45 channel all summer long for tour coverage, exclusive live performances, and backstage interviews. Also coming this summer is the DVD from 2002's Anger Management tour, which features live performances from Eminem and D-12.

1112755063 - January 1, 1970 By : The Boom Bap Project stands for one thing... preservation of true hiphop music and culture. As the culture has progressed into a billion dollar industry, the Boom Bap Project has remained unscathed and true to their moniker - true boom-bap-style hiphop. The multi-cultural, Seattle based trio consists of MC's Karim aka Nightclubberlang, Destro Destructo, and DJ Scene. Through their trials and travails of seven years in the unforgiving underground indie scene, Boom Bap has emerged with a soon to be classic album "Reprogram," which is being released and pushed on Rhymesayers Entertainment. The Rhymesayers label is responsible for introducing a plethora of next-level hiphop including the likes of Atmosphere, MF Doom, Brother Ali, Eyedea and Abilities, and Grayskul, to name a few. The legacy is definitely set to continue with Boom Bap Project's "Reprogram," an album that combines the street feel of Run DMC, circa 87', with the freshness of 2k5 wordplay, and production from Seattle's best Jake One and Vitamin D - producers responsible for crafting bangers for the likes of G-Unit and 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, De La Soul, Gift of Gab and Ghostface Killa. Top notch production combined with fierce, focused wordplay equals the Boom Bap.
The BBP first dropped the critically acclaimed album "Circumstance Dictates" in early 2001. The album, entirely produced by Jake One and Vitamin D made waves on the indie scene, and eventually lead to a rigorous touring schedule across the US and Canada. BBP smashed virtually every US and Canadian market with their brand of true hiphop, along the way securing an extremely loyal fanbase that continued to grow with each visit. The crews contacts and efforts found them sharing the stage locally and nationally with the likes of Eminem, the Wu Tang Clan, the Roots, the Black Eyed Peas, Snoop Dogg, as well as all the top drawing independent hiphop acts across the nation. In 2002, BBP was invited to the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah, where they rocked to 30,000 global music fans with the likes of Erykah Badu, the Roots, Common and Talib Kweli. That same year found the Seattle trio rocking the infamous Bumbershoot festival on the main stadium stage in front of 50,000 heads with the likes of Mos Def, Jurassic 5 and Dilated Peoples. Along the way, their exhaustingly energetic stage show garnered them thousands of new fans, believers and allies in the fickle hiphop industry amongst performers and the like, and a hardcore local and national fan base. The wave of Northwestern momentum meant attention from numerous indie and major labels, and Boom Bap finally signed with the prestigious and well connected Fat Beats Records of New York City. As the buzz for the next album grew, the crew was ready to make an even bigger move, and signed to Independent hiphop's top-producing label, Rhymesayers Entertainment.
The new album bears allegiance to the classic hiphop formula and ideals. "Reprogram is Seattle HipHop, it's a unique sound that represents our undiscovered region, and more importantly, represents our take on what we feel is the true shit...straight hiphop, no chaser," BBP MC Nightclubberlang says. "We wanted to make a classic sounding album while sticking to what we know and do, and at the same time, we want to rep the whole Northwest, cuz we've been slept on and overlooked for way too long," MC Destro Destructo adds. The album does just that. With a concrete, street level, upbeat approach, the album is chock full of banging joints. To add to the all-star production lineup of Jake One, Vitamin D, Bean One and Mr. Hill, guest appearances and collaborations take the record over the top. Guests on "Reprogram" include true hiphop heavyweights Dilated Peoples, Blackalicious (Gift of Gab), the Lifesavas, Grayskul, world champion DJ Vin Roc, and their own NW based 20 person crew, Oldominion. Each guest adds their own take on that classic Boom Bap, and leaves the audience with a truly classic LP which can and will undoubtedly stand the test of time amongst other classic hiphop records. In a quest to blow up their region and rock the spot, the Boom Bap Project delivers with energetic, next level Northwest hiphop. The quest is putting themselves and Seattle and the whole NW on the map, all the while staying true to the culture and ideals passed down from the likes of Chuck D, KRS One and Run DMC. This is the Boom Bap Project...Welcome to Seattle!

1119384148 - January 1, 1970 By : June 20, 2005 (Los Angeles, CA) Multi-platinum rap producer DJ Muggs has joined forces with critically acclaimed hip-hop duo Self-Scientific and formed a new label, Angeles Records. Angeles is the latest addition to Fontana Distribution, the independent distribution division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading music company. Initial releases will include DJ Muggs vs. GZA, a unique collaboration between Muggs and Wu Tang Clan’s GZA. The second release, Change, is the much-anticipated follow-up LP by one of LA’s most talented, but underexposed groups, Self-Scientific. Both albums are due out in October.
“The industry has changed profoundly over the past decade,” explains Chace, the MC of Self-Scientific, about why they decided to ink a label deal of their own. “The majors aren’t interested in --or prepared to-- deal with developing acts anymore.”
“That’s where we come in,” explains Muggs, and adds that while most indie hip-hop labels today are putting out very left of center music, Angeles is about “true, pure, quality hip-hop.”
“Muggs and Self-Scientific are true entrepreneurs in every sense of the word,” notes Steve Pritchitt, General Manager of Fontana, “we are thrilled that they have chosen to be part of the Fontana family.”
Most known for his seminal work as the DJ and producer behind the legendary rap group Cypress Hill, Muggs has worked alongside rap heavyweights from Dr. Dre, Wyclef, Mobb Deep, GZA, and RZA, to name a few. Indeed with such an extensive credo, Muggs is a heavyweight himself. Also part of the group the Soul Assassins, Muggs today has his own radio show on Sirius Satellite on Shade 45 called “Mash-Up Radio” and tours with multi-platinum groups like Blink 182. Most recently, Muggs scored one scene in the new Ice Cube movie "XXX.”
Self-Scientific, composed of Chace Infinite and producer DJ Khalil, burst on the scene with their much lauded LP, The Self Science. Since then, Khalil, long heralded as one of L.A.'s best up and coming producers, has kept busy working with Dr. Dre and Aftermath Records on a production deal. MC Chace can be heard on Sway and Tech’s latest album Back to Basics and Talib Kweli’s Beautiful Mixtape Vol. 1. The duo released a compilation earlier this year called Gods and Gangstas.

1119582868 - January 1, 1970 By : Attention A & R's and Labels out there reading this: Sinful "El Pecador" of the infamous Long Beach duo Tha Mexakinz is now a Free agent. The Pioneer of Bilingual rap is ready to make his mark again. Holla at elpecador@elpecador.com and/or danny@elpecador.com if you're interested.
Now to the music. Sin has been busy in the studio with I-Man working on a new Mexakinz album, we'll be dropping an interview we did with the group not too long ago, very soon. But, in between that time, El Pecador has been able to craft some tracks with many of the West Coast's hottest names.
First up I have for you a Remix for a song that appeared on his Spanish language album "Confesiones De Un Pecador" that was released last year, entilted "Pieza Diez." For the Remix, Sinful got one of the West Coast's biggest and brightest prospects, Sly Boogy and fellow LBC Resident, Dynamic Certified/M.O.B.'s own Techniec to drop their rhymes. The song is called "Dime Piece," which just so happens to be the English translation of "pieza diez." Though this is a Remix which features rhymes in English, Sin drops his verse all in Spanish.
Enough explaining, here's the full MP3:
Sinful feat. Sly Boogy & Techniec - Dime Piece
Super Producer Bosko dropped his Compilation That Fire, which featured everyone from DMX, E-40, C-Bo, Kueupt, Bubba Sparxxx to Lil' Jon, a little earlier this year. The title track featured E-40, C-Bo and Cool Nutz. With an already Latin feel to the track, Sinful hopped on and Remixed the joint. E-40's verse is the same, Sin drops his Spanish language rhymes as usual over the Spanish guitar strings laid by Bosko. The track also features Vallejo's Baby Bash.
Check it out for yourself:
Sinful feat. Bosko, E-40 & Baby Bash - That Fire Remix
It doesn't stop there. In the coming days we will be bringing you another Remix from Sin. Continue to log on to the website where you get all the hot news, video and audio first! DubCNN.com!
Shouts to Danny.

1121304149 - January 1, 1970 By : In a city infamous for its murder rate, Hasani “Sani G” Adams, 25, was born and raised to succeed in the streets of Gary, IN, frequently the United States’ “Murder Capital” for the past decade. He joined the notorious Gangsta Disciples at a young age, and his life on 48th Ave. began with drugs and hustling. Later, he put aside his first love, basketball, to begin rhyming at the age of 14, declaring himself as “one of the realest niggas comin’ from the middle of the map,” though the streets occupied most of his time.
After losing several friends at a young age due to gang violence, Sani G began to question his future. As a result of his contemplation, he enrolled in college at Central State University in Wilberforce, OH. After years of hard work, a college degree, and beginning life as a father for his daughter, Sani G went back to the studio to pursue what he really wanted out of life.
Over the past year, Sani G, along with fellow artists Dave Speed, The Fam and producer DJ Meech under Rob N Hood Records, released several mixtapes, generating Sani G’s major underground buzz, selling more than 21,000 independent units. As more mixtape DJ’s begin taking notice, the attention garnered from across the country is increasing his popularity.
Inspired by Eightball & MJG, U.G.K., Scarface, and, of course, the late, greats 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G., Sani G is not your average 16-bar spitter. His style is considered universal, a result of the influence of the various types of music he was subjected to growing up. He appeals to all listeners as proven by the variety of mixtape DJ’s who play his music from all parts of the country. These DJ’s include DJ Warrior (West Coast); Rob N Hood (Midwest); DJ Drama, DJ Ideal, DJ Eleve-8 (Down South); DJ Finesse, DJ Radio and Sickamore (East Coast), as well as other major DJ’s.
Sani G has a Southern flow with an East Coast vibe, blended with a West Coast gangsta mentality and the distinct Midwest attitude that demands to be heard. He is a force to be reckoned with.
Here's two exclusive tracks from Sani G. First up, we have a Freestyle over The Game's "Dreams" beat. On it, he addresses a certain St. Louis rapper for not, according to Sani, repping the MidWest right. That rapper? Chingy. Here's the track, to hear what he has to say about Chingaling.
Sani G - Dreams Freestyle (Chingy Diss)
On this next track, you get to hear Sani's variety, if you will. Enlisting the help of Houston legend Devin The Dude, Sani drops an ode to "Some of the best shit in the World... Pussy!" The song is titled, what else, "Pussy."

1123089869 - January 1, 1970 By : Kamikaze is an Oxnard, California native that has been rapping since the age of 11. However, he hadn't actually begun recording his material until recent years. He had been heavily involved in the DJ scene and was known to his hometown as DJ Klimaxxx.
Rocking anything from House or Hip-Hop parties to raves and band concerts. However, in the summer of 2001 he faced another one of life's tragedies and lost his baby's mother and was driven to write and record a ballad entitled "Dear Desiree."
He has since then never stopped writing and recording music. He has been heavily influenced by some of hip-hop's legends such as the group N.W.A. and rappers Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, DJ Quik, Snoop Dogg, 2Pac and Big Pun as well as many Underground Latino recording artists such as Kid Frost, Proper Dos, Cali Lifestyle, Cypress Hill, Lighter Shade Of Brown and Lil Rob.
After learnning the power of the Mixtape, he has been recording his first Mixtape entitled "Tha Streetz Iz Talkin' Mixtape" (Volume 1). Which includes many of his trials and tribulations in life, as well as some personal beefs in the streets. He hopes to some day work with many established West Coast artists as well as Hip-Hop's living legend The Game. As for now, he hopes you enjoy the following tracks off his soon-to-be released Mixtape. So look out for it.

1130369962 - January 1, 1970 By : The entire G-Unit crew has been touring across Europe for the past months. When I say the entire crew, I mean: 50 Cent, Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, Olivia, Mobb Deep, 40 Glocc, M.O.P., Mase, Big Twin, Spider Loc, DJ Whoo Kid & Alchemist. Tony Yayo wasn't present due to his parole situation. I rolled to the show with the homie DJ S.T.A.T.I.C., and the fresh Infamous/G-Unit signee 40 Glocc took us in. I was surprised about the very good atmosphere inside the camp, everybody seemed to be getting along and in a good mood. In the backstage area, Havoc, Prodigy, Lil Fame, Alchemist, 40 Glocc and more were eating, the latest DJ Whoo Kid mixtape banging through the speakers. Everybody was getting ready for the show, getting dressed, and focused before entering the stage in Karlsruhe, Germany.
About 15,000 fans were waiting outside for 50 Cent and his crew to rock the house. Those who have seen G-Unit in concert before know that they're not necessarily known to be very good performers, but I was hoping for Mobb Deep & M.O.P to rip it. As always, 50 started with "What Up Gangsta!" and then went through his hits, from his first album as well as "The Massacre". Although he has improved his stage performance, I have to say for an artist of his caliber, he has little to no stage presence, and he does the same hand movement throughout his whole set. With Young Buck and Lloyd Banks, his hype men during his verses, often being louder than him, you start to wonder what the crowd is going crazy about.
Mobb Deep get on stage after about half an hour and perform "Out Of Control" with 50, then do "Got It Twisted", "Shook Ones II" and "Quiet Storm". Afterwoods, Billy Danze & Lil Fame got on stage to do "Ante Up" and "Cold As Ice" and left. Throughout the one and a half hour performance, 50 also brought out Mase, who only did his verse off "Mo' Money Mo Problems" and exited the stage again. Olivia came out to perform "Candy Shop" aswell as her Jelly Roll-produced single "Twist It" with Lloyd Banks. Mobb Deep were the highlight to me, although Havoc did sound better on stage, while Prodigy was sometimes hard to hear. M.O.P. came with a lot of energy, too bad they only did two songs.
Roughly halfway through the show, Young Buck took the stage by himself for a chronic break, calling West Coast G-Unit artist Spider Loc to the front. Buck introduced Spider to Germany, as G-Units newest addition (although he was signed months prior to Mobb Deep, M.O.P. and Mase...) from the West Coast, and made the whole crowd put up their W's and yell out "Go Spider, Go Spider". Spider himself just chilled on stage, lit Buck's blunt and threw up his Dub's.
I can't forget to mention 50 Cent's shots at Game during the show neither. At some point he stopped the music and addressed the crowd. "If you got love for 50 Cent & the G-Unit, let me hear you say G-UNIIIT!", followed by everybody yelling "G-UNIT!". He continued his speech with "And if you don't got love for 50 Cent & the G-Unit, let me hear you say G-UNOOT!", followed by the crowd, alot of them obviously not realizing what 50 was saying, yelling out "G-UNOT!". I have to admit, the look on 50's face was priceless. As always, 50 added "Ok for all of those who yelled G-Unit, thank you for the support! For all those who yelled G-Unot, thank you too. Go pick up The Documentary, and make me rich! I make more money off Game's album than Game does! Haha! First me and Dre make money, before Game see's any money! So make me rich!". A woman in the front row screamed "Game is better than you!", which 50 laughed at and replied with "If Game was really better than me, he could do this..." and "In Da Club" started banging through the speakers, making the venue go crazy of course.
Overall, it was a pretty cool show, always good to see the M.O.B.B. and M.O.P., Young Buck is a good performer aswell. 50 has improved, but he still has a long way to go before he can be called a good performer.
After the concert, we caught up with the G-Unit crew at the hotel and at the afterparty, got some pictures for ya'll, aswell as some exclusive video drops.

1130796069 - January 1, 1970 By : At Toronto's 2004 Flow 93.5FM Urban FlowCase Finals, J. Staxxx had hundreds of spectators hollering with their hands in the air much like hip-hop parties of the early eighties. Among them, Canadian Idol Judge Farley Flex, who showed more enthusiasm for J. Staxxx than any Canadian Idol contestant. Such a reaction is very rare in the Toronto hip-hop scene, yet common for J. Staxxx.
He hasn’t been shot nine times nor is he negotiating a multi-million dollar deal from prison. J. Staxxx is creating a buzz without gimmicks. Thousands of his independently released mixtapes circulate the streets, and so does word that he puts on an ncredible live show. Mixtape DJs and radio DJs alike have been supporting him. J. Staxxx’s recent interview on Project Bounce 89.5FM was one that has received more feedback than almost any other on the network. The public is definitely paying attention.
By his mid-teens, J. Staxxx had been influenced by the reality of Toronto’s infamous Jane Strip. He did his dirt – and learned. Rather than follow the path of many of his peers, he veered left. J. Staxxx is now a voice for the streets, writing lyrics that reflect his surroundings. He sheds light to what is happening in his neighborhood. He speaks to those outside looking in and to those inside looking out - acting as a bridge to two different worlds. His street knowledge, charisma, and talent make most of the man he is today. It also makes his music. Musicains aren’t his musical influence, life is.
Currently recording his first full-length album, J. Staxxx is ready for whatever comes his way. He’s been working hard. He knows he has to – and wants to. J. Staxxx has surrounded himself with people of the same work ethic. The as-yet untitled album features songs ranging from up-tempo radio and club hits to slow songs. It’s packed with the same charisma seen in J, Staxxx’s live performance, yet features soulful melodies worthy of his more reflective writing.
With the added support of one of Canada’s most promising independent hip-hop labels and a strong management team, J. Staxxx is sure to continue on the road to success.
J. Staxxx "Old School"
“J. Staxxx and his hype men drop a set that brings energy and dead-clever lines… it’s real” -Jason Richards, NOW Magazine
