Dre is underrated as a rapper...
« on: November 12, 2002, 07:06:50 PM »
I know he doesn't write his own shit but I've always felt his flow and delivery...The Watcher 2 is an example going up against 2 heavyweights Dre held his own...There's very few times when I haven't felt a track where Dre was rapping on...
Rainstorm the back of the bank, bustin loose like Muggsy
Typhoons, Kurupt Calhoun
with a platoon of backwards ass buffoons
Ready to shoot anything that moves             Kurupt-Trylogy

he's okay. i don't think he's under rated. i really can't be a fan of a rapper who doesn't write his own lyrics though.

I agree with Yung G.  I cant be a fan if he doesnt right his own shit.  As a producer, Dre is dope!!

He was nice on 2001.  His best track on there was probably "The Watcher".  His flow and delivery came off nice.

I agree. His flow and voice are dope. Eazy and Dre don't write their lyrics but I'm still a huge fan of both.

"One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. "Which road do I take?" she asked. "Where do you want to go?" was his response. "I don't know," Alice answered. "Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

YO..... if ya'll listen to Efil4zaggin and the Chronic record you can't deny Dr. Dre as an MC.  In 90-93 his skills behind the mic were heavywieght status for real.... don't front!!!!

he is an alright rapper
i wouldnt say he is boring, shit or outplayed or anything
but then i wouldnt say he is great.
he is just alright.
better producer
doesnt really bother me when they dont write their own lyrics, i dont give a fuck

alotta of people, my girlfriend, some of my friend's, who never listen to rap always love dre's voice when i play 2001 or The Chronic. but half of them never even heard the true talented mcs in rap.

yeah I always luv dre's rapping, and he always comes dope imo.  unlike some rappers I always like his flow and voice.  I don't think he has ever come bad in a song.

That's 100% my oppinion.

Dre got a mad flow

100 Miles And Runnin' His flow is str8 the BEST in my oppinion
especially:
'Confused..
Yo, but Dre's a Nigga with nuthin' to lose'

u can feel some nearly unmatched expression of rage in this

Plus he wrote that shit himself

or Rat-Tat-Tat-Tat/A Nigga Witta Gun.. G'd up, raw flow

same to 187um..

or his part of The Day The Niggaz Took Over
especially the beginning:
'Sittin in my livin room calm and collected
Feelin mad, gotta get mine respected
cuz what I just heard broke me in half
and half the niggaz I know, plus the niggaz on the Row, is bailin'

or Forgot About Dre, Still D.R.E., The Watcher, Natural Born Killaz...
Or California Love, he rapps perfect to the beat and his part is definatly betta than Pacs on California Love (don't nobody missunderstand this I'm talking about this exact track, not in general)

Since he ain't writin his lyrics u can't say he's a top emcee or shit of course but many act like he's WACK and this he definatly is NOT.
