Anti-Paid the Cost??
« on: November 23, 2002, 03:47:08 PM »
I can not believe the strong hatred for this album.  First off- The majority of you all heard most of these tracks a long time ago--but now you act surprised when you heard them.  Also, the CD is damned good but you dorks are fighting back tears and one pumpkin on this forum said the album "breaks his heart"--yikes.  Somebody needs a life.  Anyways-I know for a fact that after a few months, the reviews on this album will even out and people will say its good.  Again..I REALLY dont know why yall hate on the X and Snoop albums so much but the bottom line is its hot music and yall are supporting the wrong coast and the wrong form of music quite frankly.  Might I suggest Michael Bolton?

Word Suge...This album is straight banging...These fools are tripping cause their hero Dr Dre ain't on the album...Fuck these bitch ass hataz...I ain't a Snoop dikryder either...When he makes wack shit or don't put any effort in his rhymes I'll speak on it...But Snoop put alot of effort in his flow and rhymes this album...He's been dropping nothing but heat in 2002 from guest appearances to this album...So what if he has a few east coast producers on it...Dre constantly works with the east but thes fools never say anything bout that shit...And its not like the album is totally east coast...

no way its better than doggy style, doggfather, top dogg, or tha last meal.... the only thing it can compare to is da game.....and im not saying this shit sucks.....what i am saying is that it sucks for it being from snoop......this album gots its pretty tight tracks but nothing to blow me away or that one track that just was in your head.......like lay low, bitch please, snoops upside your head, still a g thang, or whats my name.......but overall it has its few cuts....but i honestly think it needs a lil more work....

people are mad at the fact they want a pure westcoast sound...........if these beats are tight i will like the album cause i know snoop will sound tight i would prefer an album with dre daz and warren producing but i ain't gonna hate it just cause there not

ps i think most of warrens good beats will be saved for 213 album

Daamn, i didnt realize havin differin opinions was a crime

as for the drama queen....

i dont know when u started listenin to hip hop, i dont know when u became a snoop fan

but me? i was bumpin snoop the second i heard Deep Cover
I was the only kid in Grade 6 who had a copy of Doggystyle...
dont u fuckin think u can go around callin me a hater, someone who is being ignorant and short sighted

I am not fiendin for a pure west coast album...ive been listenin to rap long enough to realize how great diversity is..but i know what a snoop album should sound like...

i dont really care about Dre...i luv Doggfather..plus my fav joint off Last Meal wasnt a dre joint...and i didnt listen to any song of this cd before yesterday...so there goes the pathetic argument you're tryin to conjure.

I ve been a fan of Snoop for years and have supported him...but i feel i have the fuckin right to express my disappointment with his product

This album was a misguided attempt to cross over Snoop into the mainstream and appease the critics, but its his loyal fan base that has had to suffer....

The defence rests.....its balls in ya mouth

Way to sabotage another thread, pumpkin.  By the way-its funny that you call me "Drama Queen" yet end this last post with "Fuck Drama Queen"--isnt that the pot calling the kettle black.

No wonder "King"-Suge like this album, as all the beats are Eastcoast, and made for the charts. That's what he like - HiTs..
He might get a good rating in the Source, but he's losing a big core of old fans.

I think tha album's really good. Didn't like it at first, but now I'd give it a 4 outta five(only song I don't like is "Suited N Booted").

I got 6 Snoop-CD's OG in my collection, but I'm not riding anyones dick.
If they don't put in work, they don't deserve to sell.
I'ma true fan, but I'm no admirer, and no dickrider.

Queen Suge...

This album isn't all that at all.  Snoop again is lazy with his flow, but this time on more tracks.  X's album was def. better than this.

the album is a disgrace...i am trying to give it a chance and listen to it a lot..but im finding out im disliking it more...i reviewed in the review section and if i were to do it now i'd lower most of the scores...i think da game is better...which i though snoop would never make an album worse than that....time for snoop to hang it up
