I guess you could call it a beat/production classic.
Warren's vocal style was years out of date though, far too simplistic rhymes to warrant callin the album an all round classic (no hate)!

Great album gets a spin every once in a while. Lots of cool tracks to vibe to.

"Reality" is one of the most under-rated West Coast cuts of all time.   8)   This was a great album, definitely a West Coast classic.  And if he would of dropped a single and video for "Annie Mae" this album could've pushed to platinum.

I think this falls in the same category of "Tha Doggfather"...near classic.

I only like the second half of "Tha Doggfather", the first half isn't that great.

"Take A Look Over Your Shoulder" IMO is a definite West Coast classic, you can listen to the album straight through without skipping a track.

Anyone know whats up with Perfec? He voice sounds like Techniec and I heard a rumor before it was the same person.

Is it a classic to you? That's the only thing that matters, this album deserves all the praises and real love from the west coast fans.

Thanks for making this topic, I have listened to the whole album twice in the last 24 hours.  WOW .   I forgot how beautiful it is.

Warren seems like he really worked hard on this album, putting his all into it.

I think "Whats's love got to do" would have made the album go platinum, it could have been a major single with remixes.

The remix to whats love got to do, is absolutely Gfunk (and no girl on the chorus!!)  .  i think it's on my shot the sherrif cd single.

This album is imo warren's best.  i know alot of people say his 94 album is better, it sold millions, grammy nominated, etc.

This is like the peak of Warren's production, sounds more comlpex than than the first cd, but dont get me wrong, i cant live without that album either

I actually bought a solo album of Perfec, I think I bought it off hip-hopsite.com around the year 2000.  Not exactly sure, but the album was pretty week.  It's probably the only solo album he has

No doubt, I just did the same thing after reading this thread, listened to the album from end to end a couple of times...yeah its definitely a tight album, great production and consistency....classic though? I wouldn't give it classic status, its a solid album with staying power but classic albums I don't forget about and consistently bump them, which isn't the case with this album

I still think Regulate was Warrens best, that album is not as consistent but it does have a couple of tracks I would consider classic and they always get get bumped
