I thought the beats that Daz did for him were generally solid... not sure what else they ended up doing, but it's hard to ignore how dope Ambitionz az a Ridah, Skandalouz, Got My Mind Made Up, 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted and I Ain't Mad at Cha sounded.  Daz is crazy now, but the stuff he did for Makaveli & Dillinger was dope too... I still bump First 2 Bomb.

yeah his stuff with Daz (and whoever co-produced it) was dope, but the question was best producer, not best chemistry

Well, if you're judging it in terms of being the "best" producer based on capabilities and success (which is an inevitable factor) without limiting the body of work to only what that producer did with Pac, then it's Dre by a landslide.

Easy Mo Bee is dope and did make a lot of good beats for a lot of people (Pac, Biggie, Rage, etc.) but Dre's production history spans across a greater time period with more artists and a ton more sales.

Daz used Johnny J's music group (that Johnny J set up with 2Pac).

Killa combo, when Daz used to lay down mad Jazzy beats & had some serious musicians and a studio behind him.

i know that everything daz touched on all eyez on me, soopafly was involved in it, it's been confirmed by soopa in interviews, then Quik mixed some of the songs and had bass players like cornelius mims replayed it. producing can translate into very different realities.

Soopafly's involvement varied though.  It's hard to know who (or what) to believe, but there was an audio interview with Kurupt where he talked about Ambitionz az a Ridah in particular.  He said Daz did the whole beat, but Soopafly's contribution on that was just one layer... I don't know how to describe it (but I know which layer it was, since in the interview Kurupt mimics it) but while I hear it, if it weren't there, the song wouldn't have been very different.

They did a lot of good stuff together, but again, Johnny J's production skills tapered off after Pac died, as a lot of the stuff he remixed paled in comparison to his original beat.  At least with Daz, the Pac stuff he remixed (even though it wasn't on legitimate retail releases) shits all over anything Johnny J remixed... Still I Rise, Until the End of Time, Better Dayz, whatever.  One thing that I didn't like about some of his music was how sample heavy it was at times.  I know a lot of producers use samples, but a lot of them use less popular samples that are more difficult to recognize.  Oh, and then there's What'z Ya Phone #.
