I read that Trylogy was freestyled while Live on the Mic for sure sounds like a back-and-forth freestyle between him and KRS, but I don't know what else could've been truly freestyled off the top.

With respect, the second link isn't mediocre...because the average MC cant do what Gotti does off the dome (when he does keep it tight) even that well.

i mean if you go off the dome and say boring stuff like "i saw that bitch and i made her mine, that bitch i saw and mine i made her" it's wack regardless... going off the dome is cool when you spit some articulate shit, not when you rant on about your pimp game or sexual prowess with elementary rhyming...

Yeah but I said he gave a tight performance. And it was above average.

Skills wise he killed it, and he creates a song structure to the freestyle - not many can do that off the dome (which I think is dope). And generally gets it poppin.

A lot of these battle rappers sound like evangelical priests to me, ranting and spittin aggressively charged dissess. Its a different art, and far detached from music. More like rhyming 'standup comedy'.
