Quik was on 100.3 the Beat tonite and he stirred up some MAJOR shit!

I'm sure you'll be hearing more about this as the days go by...

He spoke on Suge, the dismal state of Westcoast rap and a LOAD of other shit!!!

that was engelwood, he drove frum oregon.  I went to that same concert and met engelwood there.  Thats also where he got filmed on the visualism dvd I think.  Yeah engelwood drives all the way frum oregon to see quik, and sum of yall won't even shell out $12 for quiks album, yet its better than 95% of the shit on the market.

I heard some of the interview...damn he sounded pretty pissed off...he was goin off basically...he said somethin like..suge u know where my house is at...if u wanna talk shit..come up here anytime..then he mentions the "trees"..which he is referring to da blood set...he also said "westcoast rap sucks"...which is true...westcoast rap's been dead...and seems like most of the westcoast rap artists are just riding on eastcoast artists dicks..its just fucking pathetic...i feel what he was sayin man...he was also sayin that now he is 33 years old..and making music just ain't fun anymore like back in the days...he says lot of bullshit is goin on bout the music industry...and when him, and his homies(HI-C, Suga Free, AMG, etc) used to make music back in the days..they would get respected for what they did...but now it just ain't like that anymore...

damn i hate to see quik's music career coming to an end like this...hopefully he will still continue producing...

A radio appearance by DJ Quik today on LA's 100.3 The Beat has turned into one of the most controversial of the year.

In what was set to be a normal interview for Quik to promote his new DVD "Visualism", Quik erupted into a flurry of controversial remarks, some aimed at Death Row Records CEO Marion "Suge" Knight. Quik taunted the mogul who has been known in the past for his rough hand tactics with artists to visit his house to "try and get him".

Among other things said, Quik stated that he wanted to be the next Westcoast hip hop personality to die. He also reiterated his plans to quit the rap game with "Visualism" being the last project fans will ever see of him.

Surprisingly, Quik also gave props to Death Row Artist Crooked I. Quik then made comment at the shocking state of westcoast hip hop saying "West coast music sucks" before abruptly walking out of the studio and leaving the station.

its ironic he said all this on The Beat, a station that used to support the West and Quik but sadly fell to corporate pressure and became part of the West's commercial demise.

Man you gotta feel for Quik tho, he's clearly still incredibly cut up about Mausberg's death, I hope he gets thru this and comes back to music, but after the shit he's been thru i don't blame him for retiring.

i got more importnat shit to think about than what some dude says on us radio. but i never thought i would ever see quik follow DRE. i guess commercially it did it for him. quik need to go back to where he was yrs ago
