« on: March 21, 2003, 08:08:07 AM »
how ya'll think is the future of the west coast??? like crooked i been sayin' in interviews for the last 10 years it's been the same artists we're hearin' i.e. snoop, dre... i know theres so much shit goin' on throu the underground but i mean artists that are gettin' get air play n shit and bring the west back in the spotlight... first off, i wanna say i don't giva fuck about mainstream hiphop but the west ain't gittin' no attention, l@@k at the talent u got... Luni Coleone, Killa Tay, C-Bo, X-Raided, Yukmouth, Dru Down, Dj Quik (Retired  :-[), Foesum, The Twinz, Daz, E-White, all the Bay Are n Sac Town, DPG Recordz, IV Life Records... the list goes on and on... but realistically all these artists have good underground followings but the future of the coast, the ones that are gonna bring it back 2 the top are...

1. Crooked I & Death Row
2. Roscoe & Y.A.
3. Mitchy Slick
4. Daz

that's about it...

It's pointless to say who are the ones with talent on the West Coast. Everyone in this board knows there's a whole lot of talent on the West Coast. It ain't about that. It's something else than the music - what appeals to the audiences, label bullshit, how they sell themselves etc etc...

They got a solid quality product on the West Coast. What they need to do is get people interested in it.

Oh and nobody mentioned Dr. Stank.

its going nowhere unless theres a big earthquake and it drops into the pacific... there will always be times where people and 'sounds' etc shift around

there may well be a 'nu-west' sound or something... only time will reveal ;)

Daz already blew...His time is up...

"Dogg Food" went more than 3 times platinum, and his solo debut "Retaliation, Revenge, and Getback" also did good...
