I wouldn't say Speed of Life and 40 Dayz were necessarily all East Coast sounding beats, but I do agree that it seems like a lot of people in this thread only became fans of X from Restless onward.  Because the previews I've heard from Kingmaker, it fits in perfectly with his sound pre-Restless.  I predicted months ago that this album was going to try and blend his pre- and post-Restless sound and I think that's exactly what's happening.

his first two albums were considered definitive classix on here and restless was initially considered a letdown by a majority of the posters

Correct, a lot of people felt like Restless was too mainstream at the time.

At this stage in his career I'm glad Xzibit isn't trying to go for a Restless sound, the snippets sound great to me, more introspective and mature.

I'd love to get an Xzibit album with more east coast sounding production like DJ Premiere, Statik Selektah etc.

I don't remember ever hearing about a Mack 10 collab for Kingmaker.

I remember hearing about potential Jayo Felony/Snoop, Nas/Ice-T, Crooked I/Pharoahe Monch collabs.

Yes, that's right. Jayo, not Mack 10. I confused them. Regardless, that a bunch of heavy hitters right there. Definitely worthy of a deluxe version.

From the iTunes samples this album feels like a bunch of random singles put together we lots of different sounds, I wish there was more restless type west coast beats on there
