compton has more trap but musically they are the same. the music just doesnt sound like dre production like dre shit used to in the 2000s. firing his og producer team and engineers didnt help him at all.
That part is true, it's like Dre doesn't have his own style anymore. There are few occasional classic Dre moments on both albums (Gone, My Diary on Compton; Thank You and Sticcy Situation on Missionary) but the majority of his current music sounds like it's been made by somebody else.My point is that these 2 albums are still nothing alike and not just because of trap elements. Music overall is just different.
I wanted a more restless type beats, but from the samples on iTunes it doesn’t feel like I’m going to enjoy this
that era is over bro. if you want restless go listen to restless. time has changed unfortunately.but i advice you to check "day of the dead" album of Serial Killers. There is one dope Nottz beat and 2 dope Bud'da beats.
But why were restless, Dre’s 2001 and all the albums that year had the best timeless production with incredible beats and now days it’s all a mess
because they dont have it anymore also they dont want to repeat theirself with outdated music belongs to 25 years ago. honestly most popular hip hop songs and albums of today are not my taste either. i'ma keep digging old stuff that i missed back in the day.
All of you love Xzibit mostly because of Restless though. Prior to this X was mostly a lyrical rapper over east coast beats
duno bout nowadays, but dubcc was historically big on xzibit pre restless his first two albums were considered definitive classix on here and restless was initially considered a letdown by a majority of the posters
