Relapse was very important album for both Eminem and Dre.

Dre realised that his type of production is outdated and he has to change it.

Eminem also realised that he need to find new producers to work with because Dre is not able to catch the current or future at that moment.

I still fuck with some relapse songs but that album was a deception point for everybody to realise "they cant do it like this anymore".
And that's very ironic given that in the end Relapse has aged infinitely better than every album Em has put out after that. That's crazy how Recovery sounded so current and much more modern than Relapse back in 2010 and how outdated it sounds now, while Relapse sounds exactly like it did on the day it came out.

Most of the beats were dope , Eminem just ruined "them" with his stupid accent
Agreed. Production was top notch on Relapse.

Agreed. The GTA release stuff a few years ago missed the mark for me. It was mediocre at best. I have low expectations for this album and thats sad because we have been waiting for this album from these two forever.

I think the GTA EP was produced differently than Dre has done in most cases in the past. When I look at the credits, every track is produced by an external producer and Dre - with the exception of ‘Fallin up’ (Dem Jointz plus Dre). At the same time, The ICU guys played various instruments on each track, some listed as ‘additional’, some as the main instrument.

To me, it seems as if Dre took beats from external producers (Bink!, Alchemist, J. LBS and co.) and reworked them with his team. Live instruments, additional elements etc.

So these are not beats that he produced from scratch. Maybe that's why the result is a somewhat inconsistent sound, where you get the feeling that there's no real signature behind it. This was not the case for most of the tracks on Marsha's album. And the known credits for ‘Missionary’ also largely suggest that it was handled differently. That gives us hope.

Largely because of the production. The accent is stupid and hard to ignore.

Was that live, or part of the track?   Totally unnecessary as you say.

In other new, I saw a different snippet of that thank you “demo” and Snoop flowin his ass off.  Hopefully it makes an expanded edition or something

It was a concept album. He's spitting from the prospective of a serial killer when he uses the accents. That's why songs like Beautiful and De Ja Vu didn't have the accents because he's rapping as Eminem. It was just him being in character.

I think I just read on here that Dre said that track was a demo, but haven’t actually seen any footage of him saying this.  It seems odd to me that they would be previewing a demo track on drink champs while promoting the album.
