I'm not disappointed with anything I've heard off this album.  I'm excited to get a really good new snoop album.  I know the quality is there.  I've kept expectations pretty low.  I've been playing Gorgeous A LOT, my kids are even getting annoyed with me.  The album will be the best Snoop album in a loooooooong time.  What else can we ask for?

I was 10 or 11 when Doggystyle came out.  We all dubbed it off each other in elementary school.  Everyone at school knew the album.  I was 16 when 2001 came out.  You couldn't go to a house party without seeing a dozen of these cd's laying around the stereo.  These were big social albums that all our friends knew.  Even non-rap fans knew these albums.  It was a different time.  We all associate these albums with these fun times in our lives. Now I'm over 40.  I'm gonna stream Missionary on my way to work (I'm still gonna play it loud).  Most people I know listen to country music now.  I couldn't care less if this gets radio play.  I haven't listened to the radio in years.  I don't care if this gets played in the clubs.  I don't go to clubs anymore.  Dre and Snoop's fans aren't kids anymore.  This album can't be as big as the old ones were.  Young people don't care.  Old people are old.

I can understand and relate to this to an extent .. but bad music is bad music .. no need to justify it

Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube Pull A West Coast Takeover With New Music, And Other New Hip-Hop Releases

J. Cole, Playboi Carti, Boldy James and Harry Fraud, Bossman Dlow, Lil Tjay, Jack Harlow and more also unleash new heat.

Today is Friday, which means there are a ton of new releases to look forward to from some of your favorite Hip-Hop artists. To help you unwind and enjoy the weekend, check out VIBE’s picks of songs and albums you should hear and add to your soundtrack of weekend festivities.

Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre featuring ALUS – “Outta Da Blue”

As the release date for Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre‘s collaborative album, Missionary, looms closer and closer, the iconic tandem serve music fiends another tester with “Outta Da Blue,” a bouncy jam that matches true school fundamentals with new school sensibilities.

Taking a back-and-forth approach ala Jadakiss and Styles P, Tha Doggfather and Dre brandish their veteran status and penchant for “bottles and bi**es,” good smoke, and assigned seating in the lap of luxury.

“See, reaching these type of heights, it come with a third eye/ I’m better at betting on me, the numbers don’t lie,” Hip-Hop’s resident Doc boasts, as he serves double duty, manning the mic and the boards.

While the instrumental borders on disjointed amid its varying moving parts, the track never loses its footing, as the dynamic duo keep the buzz regarding Missionary‘s arrival at a fever pitch with this latest loosie.

Maybe that “demo” track is from a new Dre album.

that would be excellent - seems like we need to wait on that drink champs episode a bit

Shit is ugly man. That hook on thank you; Outta da blue.

Gorgeous is a nice track.

The Sting and Jelly Roll tracks sound promising and funky.

Westcoast is flushing with shit; Cube album is mwa only 2-3 dope beats, Kendrick: cant stand that overly done delivery; makes me tired listening to that. Dpg album sounds rushed; all filler; maybe 1-2 good tracks.

On the other hand i dont care About the west in particular; just want good funk no matter where its from.

Eastsidaz EP still dope though.

There is a beat playing throughout the trailer for the drinks champs episode on Nore’s IG that sounds very classic Dre’ish that I have not heard before.  Does anyone have info on that beat?  I don’t remember how to insert those videos on this forum, I’m old and washed up on DubCc nowadays
