I’ve listened all the way through twice now…gonna reserve judgment until a few more listens.

But anyone else BLOWN AWAY by Snoop’s vocal
Performance on this shit?   The flows, the melodies, etc.  He hasnt sounded this hungry and creative for an entire album in 30 years…too bad the subject matter is tired (what happened to mature lyrics lol?) but that’s what is expected with Snoop I guess

dre tried to recreate 1993 snoop

and it works in some parts.. in some parts it sounds a little too copy n pasted

but yea, u can hear there’s definitely more energy in his voice overall

TBH to me it sounds like they mixed that for the new generation who listen to earbuds or their mobile phone speakers, it is very high mid centered, very low bass and quite harsh on the vocals.
i liten with some studio neumann speakers and a pair of focal headfones, it blew my mind when i heardit as it doesnt sounds like some Dre' s team mix, it is very modern and digital not in a pleasing way to me...

the vocals are pretty damn silibant on like 2/3 of the album. i guess put some hi-fi EQ on there and don't listen to this thing on a clear system for the best experience  probably sounds good in Dre's studio which has a billion times more bass than your average stereo.

Thank You is genuinely the best track, something about this one is very high-energy, catchy & replayable 8)

i dont have an average stereo though but pro monitoring lol, agree with the sibilant sound. drums are too live too it looses the  hip hop dimension sonics.
that is a very mid project to me, dont get why ppl are wowed

Yup Snoop sounds incredible on here and that's the Dr. Dre effect. Someone actually holding him to a standard.

we are all humans my friend :)
there is an habit since the last few years to not give opinions or tell the way it is !!! i think we need to change that no one is immune to critics not even Dre , he is taking a number 2 after a burritos like all of us
You should be able to critisize excellence when it didn't deliver excellence , on this one perfection wasn't perfected lol

Was like 40 or 50 musicians he had in playing various instruments too.

CD focused primarily on commercial performance plus promotion of the drink.

I think that is the most fair comment so far

@Laidback!!  Off topic but when are you going to drop some new music?  I been checking your YouTube page weekly. I like your stuff better than 98% of what’s being released today.
