The second official video off "Detox" was released moments ago. By now, you've all probably heard the song "I Need A Doctor", featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey and produced by Alex Da Kid. The song leaked a while back and they recently performed the song at the Grammy Awards.
Though the single was trashed hard by Dre's core fanbase it went straight to #1 on iTunes and I'm sure that every last one of you is still going to be curious to see the video.
MTV premiered it online and for now, the video is only available to watch for U.S. users (which is ridicolous and makes no sense, but whatever...).

Years later and with more interviews than countless journalists will ever manage to secure Paul finally released his epic read to critical acclaim and commercial success, it has been in Amazon's Top 10 Hip-Hop and Rap books since it came out and it's also being published in Japanese and Korean.
How To Rap: The Art & Science of the Hip-Hop MC is compiled from interviews with over 100 MCs, and featuring many West Coast artists.

Each of these interviews give an insight into an artists thought process around creating a track and help you understand why being a Hip-Hop MC is truly an Art and Science!
For the first week of Westcoast Wednesdays: The "How To Rap" Interview Series we presented you with the exclusive and first seen full version of The Lady of Rage Interview that took place in March 2007 for the book. .......................................................................................... Press Release: E-40 Preps Two New Albums For March 29th - By : Nima - February 23, 2011

Vallejo, CA (February 22nd, 2011) With millions of records sold, nationwide sold out shows, loved by both the streets and respected amongst his peers, without question E-40 continues to reign supreme.
Empowering a familiar cliché that states, “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it” the Revenue Retrievin’ series continues and the most underrated rapper returns with two brand new albums entitled “Revenue Retrievin’ Graveyard Shift” and “Revenue Retrievin” Overtime Shift.”
March 29, 2011 will mark the release of the 15th and 16th albums from one of the biggest rap artist to come from the west coast. Artists T-Pain, Tech N9ne in addition to E-40’s bay area conglomerate Guce, Black C of RBL Posse, Laroo, Turf Talk, Cousin Fik, J. Stalin and The Click all grace the forth coming albums. E-40 and his son Droop-E who also raps and produces will once again share Executive Producer credits on both albums. 23 Years ago E-40 began to generate his fan base as a member of The Click initially introduced as M.V.P. releasing a EP titled “The Kings Men” in 1988. The domino-effect of that album inspired three more independent successful albums ultimately inspiring major record label Jive Records to sign E-40 where they soon introduced his critically acclaimed “In A Major Way.” During the course of the multi-album deal, he produced three gold albums and one platinum album while on Jive Records.
Then In 2005, the music macgyver partnered with the everlasting King of Crunk aka Lil Jon and signed with Warner Brothers/BME . In 2006 not only did E-40 reposition himself, but the Northern California music scene struck gold with the release of E-40’s “My Ghetto Report Card” which is also certified Gold via the RIAA. A swift two years later, he released his last album on Warner Brothers entitled the “Ball Street Journal.” With proven successes while absorbing a wealth of knowledge over the years, E-40 simultaneously motivated his immediate offspring.
In 2010 he surpassed a new benchmark when he signed to Heavy On The Grind owned by his first son also Artist/Producer Droop-E. Together they released E-40’s 13th and 14th albums entitled “Revenue Retrievin’ Day Shift” and “Revenue Retrievin’ Night Shift.” That very effort spun the Bay Area’s famed Ambassador as one of the hottest commodities in Hip-Hop with the smash hit record “Bitch” featuring Too Short and 50 Cent. Today, both fans and street soldiers around the globe can rest assured “Revenue Retreivin’ Overtime Shift” and “Revenue Retrievin’ Graveyard Shift” will be another flawless classic from the most underrated rapper of all time, E-40.
Dubcnn dropped the first single off the album(s), "She Smashed The Homie", featuring Ray J & Snoop Dogg a few weeks back, check it out below incase you missed it:

.......................................................................................... New L.A. Talent Alphabit Has Big Plans For 2011 - By : Rud - February 22, 2011

The typical influences of L.A life have not prevented this up and coming MC from getting ready to make big strides in 2011.
Alphabit is a dedicated and driven individual who, at the age of 22, has been utilising his Los Angeles roots to equip his lyrical arsenal with the right mixture of intelligence, life experience and street knowledge.
His authentic and polished style make him easily accessible yet instantly relatable to countless potential listeners and ultimately fans. Alphabit promises to bring a different dynamic eminating from the West this year.
"Not having any original beats or music to rap over challenged me to grow within this craft, I had to learn to create music," explains the MC. "It was already in me, but I had to bring my thoughts and feelings to life" - a fact that led him to produce his own material.
Quickly realising that making music was not simply a hobby for him but more a passion and a purpose, he took steps to make music his goal in life, "My main goal in music is to open people eyes to something different. Something that hasn't been in the game for a long time. I want to let people know who I am as a rapper, producer and a artist as a whole," he told Dubcnn.
From the material we have heard he mixes up mainstream worthy material with lyrical content that challenges the listener - whole remaining humble and best of all hungry. We are all pretty excited to hear a full project from Alphabit this year but in the meantime we have got three great tracks - plus a video - for you to check out so you can see for yourself.

.......................................................................................... Introducing San Diego's The Dudez, "Recess" EP Download - By : Nima - February 21, 2011

A couple of weeks back, up and coming producer Isiah Salazar reached out to me via e-mail telling me about this group called The Dudez coming out of San Diego that him and his partner Hazebanga produced an EP for.
Dubcnn gets music sent to them from new artists on a daily basis and let's be honest - a lot is garbage. But after checking out the "Recess" EP, I concur with the way Isiah described it: "It is called 'Recess' because the concept behind this project was to create something refreshing... Take a break from the ordinary."
That is exactly how I would put it and that's why I'm releasing the project on dubcnn today for free download, with two exclusive bonus tracks added to the EP.
To get an idea of what The Dudez' music sounds like, we have the track "Elevator" available for you to check out. Reminds me loosely of what a mutation of Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa would sound like.

There will also be an official video dropping to the song on Friday, look for that on dubcnn as well.
On to the full download of "The Recess" EP:

Xl Middleton had a busy 2010 on dubcnn showing he is one of the most consistent artists around and always dropping new music for his fans. Last year XL Middleton & Black&Mild released The Yardnic Mixtape, then he linked up with Clinton Wayne to turn Wiz Khalifa's "Black And Yellow" into a Los Angeles anthem entitled "Gold And Purple" in both Audio and Video formats.
Then in December last year XL Middleton was back with news of a forthcoming mixtape "Mixed Drinks Volume 2" with DJ Age and the first track from it that saw him team up with the soulful vocals of Reality Jones to pay homage to America's favorite banned malt liquor energy drink Four Loko. Set the tune of the immaculately-replayed "For The Love Of You" by the Isley Brothers again we dropped the Audio and the Video.
XL Middleton just dropped off another banger for us today entitled "Refill" that is produced by xXx Productions a track with the classic, funky uptempo feel of 90's West Coast hip hop, only with a fresh twist of what's going on musically in 2011.
It's the first official single from the new Crown City Entertainment roster - XL Middleton, Harold Blue and Reality Jones and will appear on the aforementioned "Mixed Drinks Volume 2" mixtape, coming April 2010.
