 Kendrick Lamar's Dr. Dre-Produced Single Premiering Monday - By : Nima - March 31, 2012
 Two more days until we finally hear the first result of what could end up being a deadly combination: Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre. The single is set to premiere on Big Boy's Neighborhood on Power 106 on Monday and will be released on iTunes on Monday night as well.

 Although the brothers are very different shades of fruit, they still fall from the same tree. Their two different backgrounds is the essences of Rozwe11.
Bonded by blood, and their love for music, Rozwe11 was formed in August of 2010. The brothers wanted to make music about more than just money, cars, trapping or women. Rozwe11 wanted to make music about all types of subjects ranging from a variety of topics, including the paranormal.
Rozwe11's unique style comes from a form of raping called abstract music. Similar to abstract painting, this where the artist uses different images to create one unique picture for the listener. Rozwe11 is a part of SCM Records, an indie label based in the brothers hometown of Dallas, TX.
To date, Rozwe11 has released an EP called "Outtathisworld", and a mixtape album called "Quantum Leap".

 Snoop Dogg's protege and one half of the group Hustle Boyz, Mac Lucci, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming album "The Pre-Hustle 2" on April 10th, 2012 via Built 2 Ball/EMPIRE Distribution. His last project, the "Pre-Hustle EP" dropping in late 2011 and spawned the street smash "Cali Life", produced by Dae One.
Super-producer Dae One is on board again for a chunk of the production on the new album, "The Pre-Hustle 2". Guest appearances on the album include Snoop Dogg who appears on the lead single "Funny Hoes" (expect the video very soon), along with 8 Ball, Tha Dogg Pound, Alori Joh (R.I.P.), Soopafly, Brevi, Roccett, Compton Menace and more.

 Hoodz Finezt Dubb had an incredible 2011 from start to finish dropping two of the best independent releases of the year the early year release Face Of California to his late 2011 project The Departure - which was available right here on Dubcnn for Free Download or as Streaming Audio.
The Departure brought singles including the collaboration single with Cali Swag District called Drop It, the cut Hood Nigga featuring Ty$, Joe Moses and The Menace and the release day leftover 9-11.
Not only that but Dubb has kept you visually updated with the Ramses Perryman directed video for the Yung Mars featured record Patience Is The Key, Who, What, Where which featured Jake & Papa and most recently Determination.

 Richmond, CA native IamSu! can be called a lot of things — rapper, producer, songwriter — but "miseducated" is not one of them. Last year, the 22-year-old produced, penned the hook, and provided a scene stealing 16 for fellow Bay Area newcomer LoveRance’s smash-hit single "Up," which is currently a nationwide Top 10 single and boasts a remix featuring 50 Cent.
On The Miseducation of IamSu!, which he released in December 2011 to serve as an appetizer for "KILT", Su! has been described as having the confidence of fellow Cali rapper Dom Kennedy and the smooth delivery of Nipsey Hussle.
The video for “HBKJoe Beat,” named partly after his clique, HBK Gang, features Su! and fellow member P-Lo celebrating the rites of spring by goofing off in the sun-soaked backstreets of California while two PYT’s ride on the handlebars of their bikes.
Although Su! shouldered much of the production on Miseducation, he handed the duties for "HBKJoe Beat" off to HBK affiliate HBKJoe, who laced Su! with a lazy, saxphone-sampling beat that perfectly complements the low-key, playful video, which was directed by Chris Simmons.
"HBKJoe Beat," is a rare, light-hearted track from Miseducation, which showcases a more serious tone with tracks like "Ralph Lauren Rugby S**t," and freestyles over the Wu-Tang classic "Ice Cream," and The Clipse's "I'm Not You." Watch the "HBKJoe Beat" video below:

 I just got back from the Kendrick Lamar and Hopsin show in San Francisco and the Regency Ballroom and it was a real experience. Hopsin and Dizzy Wright came out first and killed their performance. It was my first time seeing them on stage and the energy was incredible. Next up was Kendrick Lamar, who laid down a one-hour set of fury. After going through all the expected records, Kendrick left the same stage, but was brought back by the frenetic chants of the crowd.
Tonight, he for the first time performed his latest record "Cartoon & Cereal" and dubcnn caught it on film:

 You first heard Ice Cube's son OMG (Oh My Goodness) on Ice Cube's last album "I Am The West", where him and his brother Doughboy were featured on several songs, as well as the video to "She Couldn't Make It On Her Own". Ice Cube's also appeared on the Cypher at the BET Awards with both of his songs two years back and it looks like they're ready to branch out on the solo tip now.
First in line is OMG, who released his debut mixtape "Jackin' For Beats" today, where he spits over 10 popular beats - reminiscent of his father's classic "Jackin' For Beats" in 1990.

 We just received a new leak from Fashawn that won't be on his forthcoming solo album "Champagne and Styrofoam Cups". The record is called "Santiago's Revenge 2" and was produced by Draft. Expect an official release date for "Champagne and Styrofoam" as early as next week. In the meantime, Fash will be releasing the deluxe edition of "Higher Learning 2" on all digital retailers on April 3rd, with all untagged songs and 3 bonus cuts that weren't on the original.  Watts representer Six Reasons had a huge 2011 and shows no sign of stopping judging by 2012 so far.
As we've been reporting he is currently working on his latest mixtape "80's Baby" - the follow up to 2008's Pipe Dreams and last years DJ Skee presented Do Not Pass Go Do Not Collect $200. During 2011 Six Reasons released footage of him and The Game LIVE in Arizona at The Venue Scottsdale as well as dropping the video to his latest record Raindance featuring Too Short and a Behind The Scenes look of that shoot.
He followed that up with the video for Shotgun featuring Constantine before dropping the single Runnin' For President as well as a music video last month.
Last month he was on Dubcnn with the video for I Need A Cape featuring Prophet that will appear on the "80's Baby" project. Today we return as Six Reasons just completed a huge week in his career at SXSW, which culminated with a performance on the Vibe House stage alongside hip-hop heavyweights, such as Snoop Dogg, Timbaland and Nipsey Hussle and he has documented his first SXSW experience, and what it means to his music career in an engaging and insightful video, "The Road to SXSW," which we have for you below.

 Epademik - who was co-signed by Ca$his in our 2008 interview [Read that interview] - dropped singles relentlessly on Dubcnn including Aired Out and Mr. Know It All alongside Ca$his before he gave you his street album 1918.
Having dropped 1918 he quickly dropped the 15 track Whiteout release with Supreme before singles during 2010 including Light Show which featured Jai One & Mack over production by Serf Show, the solo record La La La (Nothing) and then the Clinton Wayne collaboration I'm Ready.
In May last year J Double & Worldwide Warb caught up with Epademik for an interview during Episode 20 of the All NEW Dubcnn Radio Show and then in November was back on Dubcnn for this Exclusive Interview where he discusses his upcoming "Beast Within" LP, what he's been up to since last we spoke and his new label Bad Seed and to release a Documentary (A Day In The Life) video where he showed you around his world.

 Since the turn of 2012 K-Boy - who spent much of the last 12 months rehabilitating from four gunshot wounds suffered in the May of 2010 - has been a regular on Dubcnn getting ready to stamp his claim on 2012.
Since late 2011 he has moved from under Glasses Malone's Blu Division/Division Music to form the We'On Music Group and in our recent updates he's given you new music including the acclaimed By Any Means (Malcolm X) record alongside Kendrick Lamar [for which there is also a music video], the Nvis and MeMe featured tracks Need Your Love [watch the video] and Lights On.
Our last update in late February was to let fans know that "The Blue Light Special" album has been delayed while he makes some adjustments to the final project but that he is teaming up with Ace and Conflict for a mixtape entitled "The Strip Club" which will be hosted/mixed by DJ Hed, DJ Mike Smoove, DJ Nez Nice, DJ Far & DJ Jay Byrd.
In that same update we dropped the first record from "The Strip Club" a solo cut produced by his in house producer Rick Hughes that is an anthem for Secret Sundayz the newest and hottest gentlemen's club in Los Angeles.
Today we are a back with a new record entitled "OverDose" where K-Boy delivers his charismatic flow over an instrumental by in house producer Bre-z as Ace provides the hook.

 The VIBE House, powered by Cashmere Agency and MMXLII and presented by adidas Originals, was definitely the highlight of SXSW 2012.
The 2-day showcase featured over 45 artists, including Snoop Dogg, Mystikal, Timbaland, Kendrick Lamar, Nipsey Hussle, Jay Rock, Don Trip, Strong Arm Steady and surprise appearances by Wiz Khalifa and A$AP Rocky amongst others. The 2012 VIBE House kicked off last Friday with the "AllHipHop Breeding Ground" showcase and continued on Saturday night with Stampede Management hosting the successful "Respect The West" showcase, which celebrated West Coast hip hop.

 Azad Right continues he's impressive start to 2012 having already had a massive last 12 months since we introduced him last year [see; Azad Right "A Piece Of Mine" EP].
The Venice, CA artist dropped his first single last year on Dubcnn called Spiderwebs and accompanying Music Video before dropping the acclaimed six track debut EP A Piece Of Mine in mid 2011. He followed that up with the Dubcnn Exclusive Interview in September 2011 before releasing his full length project The Time Is Right for Free Download and For Stream.
Already in 2012 we've had two new singles entitled Better Days and Growing Apart and at the start of this month gave us the "no hooks" record It's All Right over the "Intro" instrumental by The XX.

 Just over a year ago we introduced you to an artist by the name of Phinesse who hails from Melbourne and is one of the most hyped urban acts in Australia.
In that update we reported that already in a short career he had achieved what many can only dream of, performing alongside 50 Cent, T-Pain, Ne-Yo, Big Boi, Lil Jon as well as having a national hit with "I Can’t Wait" which not only received rave reviews but also appeared on the Warner Music gold selling RNB Superclub compilation. This combined led him to appear on the Konvict Music Tour alongside Akon and T-Pain before recording at the NY Fight Club studio Twice As Nice and Rockwilder.
As part of that update we told you that Phinesse was gearing up to release a mixtape and we brought you a Glasses Malone and The Menace featured cut entitled It's Over (TOTW Mix) and followed it up with the It's Over (TOTW Mix) Music Video. In the summer Phinesse dropped the mixtape on Dubcnn entitled Reborn for free featuring appearances from the aforementioned as well as Gail Gotti, T-Pain, Aaradhna, Monarch and L-Matik.  Last year Orange County Hip-Hop artist C-Sharp was promoting his Ca$his and Shadyville DJ THAT DAMN TOUCAN presented Top Self Highlife Volume 1 mixtape that dropped on Dubcnn in September.
In the lead up to that release and in the weeks that followed we dropped the music videos for Smash, Swapmeet with guest appearances by Ron G and fellow label mates Kaliber and Chubbs Sinatra and the 3D Get Stupid, all directed Kaliber of Best Kept Entertainment.
Today we are back as Best Kept Entertainment have teamed up with fellow OC Hip Hop crew GMB to release the joint video by C-Sharp and Kevin Parx for the record "Think So" that featured on the Top Self Highlife Volume 1.

 E-Train is a producer/DJ from San Francisco who was one of main producers for the underground hip hop crew The Loyalists during the mid 2000's and that grounding has given him a sustained insight into what is hot yet relevant within hip-hop culture. His production straddles the line between current and classic, creating a timeless sound.
Tomorrow he will release his debut solo project through Elevated Press Records entitled "On Solid Ground" and has called upon a league of thoroughbred MCs to join him on this project including TalibKweli, Keith Murray, Wordsworth, Akrobatik, Phil the Agony, Rasco and Pep Love alongside some of the best burgeoning lyricists which the Bay Area and beyond has to offer.
"On Solid Ground" is E-Train’s first return to the digital world since The Loyalists went on hiatus in 2009. "I started working with artists from around the Bay Area but it quickly spread across the country. Before I knew it, I was working with some of my favorite MCs on the planet and the end result was an album which combines that boom-bap Hip-Hop with soul and R&B, an album I am very proud of," E-Train told Dubcnn.

 It's over a year ago since Dreamz' dropped his single Cali Dreamz featuring KK of 2nd II None and Nehru from the follow up mixtape to his 2008 project The Execution with Meech Wells & DJ L-Gee.
The Cali Dreamz mixtape was available for free download, hosted by DJ Deftone and including tracks such as Midnight & U with Sly Boogy & Konflict, How Gangstas Live alongside Konflict and the KK of 2nd II None featured In Da Club.
In our last update in January 2011 we brought you the Untagged Version of Cali Dreamz and since then Dreamz has been silent.
Today we are back with news that he is back, now known as Cali Dreamz and is planning a compilation project entitled "West Coast 2.0" that is set to feature both West Coast legends alongside rising stars including Knoc-Turn'Al, MC Eiht, Jimmy Too Slic, KK from 2nd II None, Sly Boogy, Ta Smallz of Mo Thugs and Platinum Stat. The project will drop this summer via Organized
Entertainment Worldwide, a record label based out of Southern California. We've been sent the first track entitled "Gotta Love It" by Cali Dreamz - check it below.

 Early last year we kept you updated on the Santa Ana MC Kadillik Kaz who was about to drop his album "The Coldest Winter Ever" and we gave you two songs from the record, the solo cut The Coldest Intro and Flash My Tattz which featured an ensemble cast with Mac Lucci, Eastwood, Tri Star, Cakeboi Sav, Cree8, G-Hood Fellas & Young Tone.
In the summer we followed that up with a video from "The Coldest Winter Ever" for the track Ur Special which features Mysta Shawn Crenshaw and is directed by Nelson Dale of iEat Airplanes.
Today we are back as last month Kadillik Kaz dropped an EP entitled Cash Out Or Mash Out via iTunes and for those who listened to last weeks Dubcnn Radio Episode 43 (03/09/11) will have already heard his latest single "Here For U" featuring LOS. We have that single for stream/download today as it is also appearing on the soundtrack to the Gang Of Roses" movie starring Amber Rose.

 Multi-platinum record producer Meech Wells today announced via Twitter that he was working with non-other than British R&B hit-maker Mark Morrison.
The tweet which read; "Look out for the single from mark morrison the legend entitled ain't no good remix produced by meech wells comin soon oh boy! @SnoopDogg!", indicates that Morrison’s brand new single "Ain’t No Good", will be receiving remix duties from the veteran West Coast producer.
Meech Wells last official release was "Take U Home" from Snoop Dogg’s Doggumentary album. Fans may also remember in 2009, Meech Wells & Soul Mechanix remixed "Innocent Man" with Mark Morrison ft. DMX, Eastwood, & Kokane for the "New West World Order Vol. 4" Mixtape.
"Ain’t No Good" (Remix) will be the first official collaboration between Mark Morrison and Meech Wells who is the son of legendary Motown singer Mary Wells and musician/songwriter, Cecil Womack.
In other news, UK singer Melody Keys, who is part of Morrison’s MackLife Records stable, released a viral video on YouTube today entitled "Can’t Get Enough". Morrison’s anticipated third solo album "I Am What I Am" will be out this fall, featuring the likes of Trae Tha Truth, Trina, and DMX.

Game dropped his long awaited fourth solo release, the R.E.D. Album last August and caught up with Dubcnn for this Exclusive Interview in the weeks before release.
In the interview he discussed the possibility of making a "Watch The Throne" for the West Coast, shooting the "Pot Of Gold" video with Chris Brown, how he really could care less what people think of him or what they say about him as well as talking about Dr. Dre, Lil Wayne, Interscope Records, Pharrell and much more.
In the lead up to release Game dropped the Daytona 500 (500 Bars) cut, and leaked tracks including Good Girls Go Bad with Drake and The City with Kendrick Lamar which we said at the time; "Kendrick absolutely murders his feature. Oh my god. Single please!" Well good news - they are dropping it!

 Southern Cali based hip-hop duo The Gooneez (Andre Abella and Frank Clark) followed up their earlier releases "Never Say Die," "The Key to One-Eyed Willie" and the "Outside Lookin’" mixtape series with a collaboration project called #Anonymous alongside The Fratelleez a three piece band that fuses rap, rock and punk music.
#Anonymous was released via Dubcnn for free download and boasted a lead single with Kendrick Lamar called Too Strong. The project went on to be Dubcnn's Mixtape of the Week in October 2011
Towards the end of the year The Gooneez and The Fratelleez were back on Dubcnn to release the video for their track Yep that featured on #Anonymous, a record produced by Flawless Tracks.
Today there are back as they've just put out their latest video from the project for the track "Back Home" directed by Charley Mac - watch it below.

 There are many West coast hip hop legends that are honored annually at the Official West Coast Hip Hop Awards. 2012 their 5th year running! August 4th 2012, Roseland Theater, Portland,Oregon.
This is an all aged event, and the whole west coast is invited. From LA to the Bay and all the way to San Diego, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington even as far north Vancouver Canada makes it to the award ceremony every year.
The West Coast Hip Hop Awards mission is to unite all of the west coast music and rappers with one goal to spread the love of the music culture and brand now in their 5th year as the worlds biggest West Coast Hip Hop Awards show.
The organizers would like to thank everyone for their support and hope to see you all on August 4th at the Roseland Theater, Portland, Oregon.
All money generated from the event will be funding the West Coast Hip Hop Museum Art & Recording Academy, opening 2013.

 Dubcnn sat down with a descendant of the 2Pac/Outlawz/Thug Life family tree, H Ryda, who released his new single "Money Machine", featuring E-40 today on iTunes and all digital retailers. In this interview, H Ryda tells us about growing up around 2Pac, being too nervous to rap for him and appearing on several of the Outlawz albums.
He explains why he moved to Las Vegas despite it being the city where 'Pac got gunned down, and how he plans to put Vegas on the map. He introduces his artists to us and gives us an update on his solo, "H Ryda vs The Planet".

As we reported back in November 2011 Disko from Inglewood is getting ready to follow up his standout album iProduce from last year with a new album - and clothing line of the same name - called "Starz On Marz."
He spent much of 2011 dropping media - including the single Golden State Of Mind featuring Nipsey Hussle and Diamond Ortiz , a video for 5 Minutes alongside April P & Khase and a record entitled Turnt Down that featured Cali Swag District, which he also dropped this music video for - and he shows no sign of slowing down.
In our last update we dropped the first track from "Starz On Marz" entitled Salute B*tch that features Mz Shay a 22 year old Westcoast Female MC whom Disko is working with.
