Growing up in South Los Angeles, as a child of a single parent, Annimean ventured into the streets for guidance. In December 2006 Annimean was released from state prison after a 7 year term for two accounts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Hungry to rap and ready for a new lifestyle, Annimean stayed with his family who attended the Musician’s Institue in Hollywood. From there Annimean put together a 5 track demo and began performing at local show cases around the greater Los Angeles area.
Two years later, Annimean has worked with some of the biggest dj’s and artists in the west coast. Such artists include Rakka from Dilated Peoples, Glasses Malone, Roccett, Jay Rock, LaLa, Hot Dollar, Guerilla Black, Bad Azz, as well as several underground artists, and Dj’s including DJ Ill Will, Money J, Flipcyde, DJ Clean and DJ Raze One.
Annimean captures his listeners with a gritty and blunt commentary about life in the ghetto’s of Southern Los Angeles. Dropping his fourth solo mixtape called “The Valkyrie” with one of the West coast’s most respected and decorated dj’s September 7th (Cali Untouchables), this tape is arguably Annimean’s best project to date.
