Dubcnn is renowned worldwide for supporting established artists as well as helping to break new talent from the Hip-Hop and R&B communities with a focus on the Westcoast. Today are taking a trip to the R&B spectrum with the debut dubcnn appearance from HerStory.
HerStory is a three piece consisting of Los Angeles women Marissa, Miriah and Asia all of whom embody the slogan “Young, Fresh and Energetic.” All under the age of 20 these ladies met in 2008 during a private audition in Los Angeles.
Despite coming from diverse backgrounds, including musical theatre and professional dance, the girls developed a close bond through the audition process, resulting in HerStory. The trio have, over a short period, gathered a strong following on You Tube and MySpace thanks to their slick vocals and clear melodies.
Citing musical influences spanning musical genres and generations � from Karen Carpenter to Beyonc�, these ladies are perfectly placed to cater to both younger and older women alike and we at Dubcnn believe they have huge potential.
The reason we’ve been put onto HerStory is because their single has just landed in the Dubcnn office, a track produced by Corian Jackson and long term Dubcnn favourite Dem Jointz. “Jack Dat Body” – taken from their debut EP “Every Girl Has A Story” is a sure fire hit – check it below.
