Feeling long overdue for an emcee only releasing his second official project, but its been about a year and some change since South Central track wrecker Cozz’s debut Cozz N Effect. Now returning with his follow up Nothin Personal, the youngest star player on the Dreamville roster puts the team on his back in this first quarter run, and shows why even the face of the franchise (J.Cole) pushed to sign him to the squad. Making it a free project only to sweeten the deal, the thirteen record reward for fans is entirely produced by in house producer Meez, making it a full blow Committee Gang production with Cozz center stage and only a few features. The title says it all, this second time around its nothin’ personal for the rather brash rapper who’s aimed on achieving more & solidifying himself as one of the premier rhymers not only on the west, but throughout the North American continent. Having released singles with “My Side” and “Who Said”, Cozz leaves more than enough mood moving music for his growing fan base to enjoy, embrace and share with those still unfamiliar with the tremendous talent. So rappers, if you find yourself feeling slightly slighted, disrespected, clowned, unacknowledged, or simply ignored, remember, it’s nothin’ personal.
