“Presently relishing KING’s full-length album debut, We Are KING.” – BILLBOARD

“Beautifully done!”- Deepak Chopra

Los Angeles Grammy-winning trio KING partners with Billboard Magazine for an exclusive premiere of their brand new music video “Carry On”. The gorgeous dreamy ballad is the latest single from KING’s critically acclaimed debut album, We Are KING, available now on iTunes. The animated piece by Veronica Solomon is the second in their series of animated music videos for their album, and takes you on a blissful carefree journey rich with beautiful harmonies, delicately guiding you with their voices. Check the video, and drop a comment. Only on DubCNN.

“It was amazing to see Veronica’s interpretation of the song- she perfectly captured the vibe and added a surrealist twist, making the entire piece feel like a dream,” raves KING. “We love her creative style of animation, and seeing her vision while working on the song actually inspired us to incorporate more of those fanciful and abstract elements in the music.”

About KING:

Twins Paris and Amber Strother and musical sister Anita Bias are KING.

In 2011, KING independently released their first EP to much acclaim; title track “The Story”, “Supernatural”, and “Hey” make up the 3-piece introduction to their carefully crafted dream-soul sound. Hours after the release, their EP had traveled far to music lovers and tastemakers alike, making new fans of many.

KING’s eclectic sound is relatable yet not simply defined. Though they play with the boundaries of their many influences, throughout each song is the common thread of a certain soulful authenticity. The smooth vibe, intricate production, and harmonic style of their music evolved beautifully in their home studio, a product solely of the three women and a result of their Minneapolis and Los Angeles roots.

Paris produces KING’s songs, while Amber and Anita are the primary singers. The three work together on songwriting and arrangements to create their unique sound, garnering such accolades as Rolling Stone’s 10 New Artists You Need To Know, Pitchfork’s Best New Track, NPR’s Song of the Day and 10 Songs Public Radio Can’t Stop Playing, Billboard’s 10 Best RnB Songs of 2014, The Guardian’s New Band of the Day and Best Albums of 2013, Metro UK’s Singles of the Week, Glamour Magazine’s 2013 Free Holiday Music Campaign and the 55th GRAMMY Award for ‘Move Love’, their collaboration with Robert Glasper on his Best RnB Album ‘Black Radio’.

KING’s debut album We Are KING blends an array of genres, eras, and influences, and serves as the
introduction to the trio’s lush soundscape. The album was released February 5th, 2016 via KING Creative and received rave reviews from NPR, Rolling Stone, New York
Times, Pitchfork, Stereogum, Los Angeles Times, Newsday, Billboard, Boston Globe, Chicago Sun Times, Village Voice, Brooklyn Vegan, Ebony, VIBE, The London Sunday Times, Life +Times, the Guardian, Essence
and many more.
