“Refreshingly Enjoyable” – 2DopeBoyz
St. Louis songwriter, producer and new R&B artist JAYLIEN partners with 2Dopeboyz to premiere “We F*uk,” the second music video from his debut EPSummer’s Over recently released on July 22. Directed by BlessAndSee musical partner and fashion photographer Stephen Garnett, the visual clip shows JAYLIEN getting an unexpected surprise midway through a freaky romp in the bedroom.
JAYLIEN explains, “This is one of my favorite songs on the Summer’s Over EP. The song is becoming a clear fan favorite taking off on my SoundCloud too, so I felt it was important to add a visual. The director Stephen Garnett thought it would be key to have a fun twist to the video … And I think we accomplished that.”
The Source praised JAYLIEN’s debut project noting that “throughout the seven tracks, he captures what could be a highlight reel of the summer months, curating the season’s finest moments we all seem to wait all year for, while also boldly declaring it over by the time listeners arrive at the closing title track.” The Fader also gives a nod to JAYLIEN’s lead single “Hotel Costes” as “a perfect song for radio.”
UK beat maker and producer Handbook recently released a brand new remix of JAYLIEN’s first single “Hotel Costes.” JAYLIEN explains, “I went to Paris for Paris Fashion Week. It was my first time and the greatest 8 days of my life. In between each show, before every after party, everyone would meet up at Hotel Costes. It’s like the playground for the cool. When I left Paris, I wanted to make a song about how it felt to be there. This song is the soundtrack to my Paris experience.”
