Stylz & Wells Drop “America” Video

0

Stylz & Wells dropped their collaboration project ‘Vibes‘ earlier this year and are back for the new year with a video from the LP.

The first single “Product Of The Ghetto” featured the late great Nipsey Hussle and Rezee came out in August, the latest is for another standout track, “America.”

The video of the Tay Walker featured single, directed by Daniel Riser, brings to life the track which focuses on ‘freedom’ since the Declaration of Independence and the state of the United States in 2021.

“America, America, the land of the free, at least it’s what we’re told, America”

Police brutality, divisive politics, protests and movements including Black Lives Matter – as well as international policy – take centre stage. Daniel fuses news footage with brutal police & dash cameras images that reflect the messages in the track.

The track features a tribute to Eric Garner, Tamar Rice, Breonna Taylor, Michael Brown – and so many more – before cutting to the 1964 Malcom X speech;

“…When we open our eyes today and look around America, we see America not through the eyes of someone who has enjoyed the fruits of Americanism. We see America through the eyes of someone who has been the victim of Americanism. We don’t see any American dream. We’ve experienced only the American nightmare.”

The video ends with chilling footage of George Floyd and the public pleading with Police. Watch it below and drop a comment.
