 Watts representer Six Reasons continues to be a Dubcnn ever-present since he first appeared in 2008 with the release of his free Pipe Dreams mixtape on Dubcnn that featured Prophet, LeMarvin, LT, Grown Mo and Layne Tadesse - as well as production from Deep H2OZ, The Key and Hutch.
Having linked with DJ Skee last year for Do Not Pass Go Do Not Collect $200 that featured production from Starr Lab and Deep H2oz and the record Do Me a Favor he came back earlier this year with the Deep H2oz produced track I'm Eatin' featuring Prophet, as well as the video directed By Blind Productions.
In the summer Six was back again with the single Fat Lady and a video for the same track before taking a trip back to 2008 and his cut Drug Money from the Pipe Dreams mixtape to drop a music video.
In our last update Six Reasons dropped the video for his latest record Raindance featuring Too Short and has recently been out on the road and has released this video of him sharing the stage with Game in Scottsdale, Arizona as well as getting shoutouts and co-signs from Game, Sean Healy, BlackOut and Choc Nitty.  As the release date of Aftermath & Dr. Dre protege Slim The Mobster's anticipated street album "War Music" approaches (8 days left!), the camp continues to leak content and building the buzz.
The release - which will drop less than a year since we caught up with him for this DUBCNN TV: Exclusive Interview and he released his DJ Clue fronted South Central's Finest project which we dropped for free download - is executive produced by Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg and produced by Sha Money XL and Vikaden and powered by Crooks & Castles.
The street album is hosted by DJ Whoo Kid and DJ Skee and already the Aftermath signee and Dr. Dre protege has dropped videos from the project including Work For It (Price On Ya Head), Gun Play, South Central Blues and most recently F*ck You.
We've also kept you up to date with all the audio tracks leaked from "War Music" including What Goes Up with Snoop Dogg, Marta alongside Prodigy of Mobb Deep and F*ck You which features Yummy Bingham over production by Bink!

 A little under a week ago we heard from someone who hadn't been on Dubcnn since he dropped his Dae One produced Fly As I Wanna Be featuring Will Fury from the "Richest of the Richest, Poorest of the Poorest" LP in 2007.
Kenny Kingpin formerly known as Poppa LQ has been serving a 26 month sentence in the Federal Penitentiary but as we told you in that last update he is back on the scene with a new mixtape which is executively produced by Houston’s finest Scarface and hosted by East Coast Favorite DJ Whoo Kid.
"Rubberband Ready Radio" features a healthy list of upcoming artists from his area including Cuzzy Capone, Stone Starr, Real Spit, JWest, Kym Cartel and more and when DJ Whoo Kid was recently asked about the project he stated; "As a DJ I’m not mad at what I see coming out of the left coast but what I hear from my man Kenny Kingpin I can vouch for and say my audience is gonna feel his truth and subscribe to that sound he’s got, they know when it’s real."
Also in that last update was the videos for his single Let The Street's Tell It - where he pays homage to a long list of street legends such as Freeway Ricky Ross, Big U, BMF, HarryO - as well as the Behind the Scenes footage from the upcoming Get It Back video.

 San Francisco veteran San Quinn has returned with a brand new album, "A Hustler's Hope", on which he teamed up with up and coming Oakland spitter Tuf Luv.
The Done Deal 772 Ent release is officially dropping November 1st, but the album is already available on iTunes, Amazon and all other digital retailers, for those who wanna grab it early. For the San Quinn fans who have fell out of the loop as far as his releases - this is one to check for.
The concept behind "A Hustler's Hope" is simple: San Quinn, known as one of the most prominent figures in Bay Area rap, represents the "Hustler", while the young gunner Tuf Luv is the "Hope".
The duo is joined on the album by B-Legit (Sick Wid It Records) who has a guest spot on the anthem "Drunk In San Francisco" (official video coming soon), Big Rich (Three Story Records), Pep Love (Hieroglyphics), and singer Jamilllions. Production was provided by Steven King and Dex Beats.

performing live at the Music Box in L.A. on November 18th for a charity event. The benefit concert presented by 93.5 KDAY will raise funds for two Los Angeles based nonprofits, Project RISHI a DWC (Downtown Women’s Center of L.A).
Opening performers include popular up-and coming artists Azad Right, ScHoolboy Q, TiRon, Ayomari, and Fuze the MC. The concert will begin at 8:45 p.m. and doors will open at 7:45 p.m.

 Belly burst on to the music scene and Dubcnn in 2007 with his hit single "Pressure" with Ginuwine - a single that solidified him as a staple in Canadian hip hop, and a force in the US.
From there he spent time touring with Ice Cube, Snoop and Tha Dogg Pound, even recording with Kurupt before dropping his full length album "The Revolution" featuring the single A History Of Violence, I‘m The Man alongside Kurupt as well as recording the Dubcnn Exclusive track entitled Wanted.
Since then Belly has gone on to release more mixtapes including "Back For the First Time" featuring the Snoop Dogg featured single "Hot Girl" and more recently in 2010 the mixtapes "Sleepless Nights."
Today we are back as, having dropped six successful mixtapes, a number one GOLD selling album in Canada and countless top ten singles, the Canadian award-winning artist Belly has released his latest single "I Drink I Smoke" once again partnering up with Snoop Dogg.

Today we are back as Kenny KingPin - who has been serving a 26 month sentence in the Federal Penitentiary - is back on the scene ready to unleash "Rubberband Ready Radio" which is executively produced by Houston’s finest Scarface and hosted by East Coast Favorite DJ Whoo Kid.
The release features a healthy list of upcoming artists from his area as well as Cash Money's G-Malone and Smoke-A-Lot CEO Yukmouth.
"When reality slaps you in the face two things happen, you find out exactly what you are made of and make a conscious decision of sinking or sailing. I’m here to win, I’m here to educate the masses I’m here to prevent repeat offenders. Trust me when I say this, the listeners will learn," stated a confident Kenny Kingpin during recent press.
When DJ Whoo Kid was asked about the project he stated; "As a DJ I’m not mad at what I see coming out of the left coast but what I hear from my man Kenny Kingpin I can vouch for and say my audience is gonna feel his truth and subscribe to that sound he’s got, they know when it’s real."
Combining that funk-soul of Mr. Curtis Mayfield with classic west coast ride-or-die vibe is the best reverberating description and musical announcement of "Rubberband Ready Radio." Just a few months ago, Kenny Kingpin released the first single from this mixtape, "Let The Street's Tell It," where he pays homage to a long list of street legends such as Freeway Ricky Ross, Big U, BMF, HarryO all to be witnessed in the video - which you can watch below.  Before west coast based hip-hop group LEL Brothas ventured out on a successful national tour where they performed as co-headliners alongside west coast heavyweights The Game and E-40, they were just two artists who desperately wanted to bring music to people in all parts of the world.
Since then, they have embarked on an audacious world tour of the Middle East, arranged by their business partner Calvin Bowers of CB5 Ent, which landed them as the first-ever hip-hop group to perform in Saudi Arabia. They performed at the U.S. Embassy as well as the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence and were dubbed “Cultural Ambassadors of American Hip-Hop Culture” by the U.S. State Department.
Consisting of DJ Clone and LBC, as well as their hype man CB5, the members all originate from southern California, they went on to be the first-ever hip-hop group to be broadcast live on Saudi Arabia Television. They also found themselves in Bahrain the day after Marshall Law was lifted, the streets still lined with military soldiers with automatic weapons and a shoot-first-ask-questions-later type policy.
Currently in the midst of their second world tour, this time focusing on eastern Asia, the group has Singapore, Mylasia, Philappeans and Japan all scheduled on their itinerary before their final show in April 2012. They will perform one show only in America, on October 23rd 2011 at the Indian Steele Park in Phoenix, Arizona where they are expected to play for an audience of 25,000 - 30,000 people at the American Arab Festival.
LEL Brothas are promoting their latest album, The Epidemic, which features music from super-producer Wade Martin. Wade Martin is best known for his work with G-Unit and Nas, among others, and as Co-owner of IME Records with DMC of Run DMC.

 Fusing an eclectic blend of passion and insightful lyricism, Melo KAN creates a sound that resonates universally. To put it simply, Melo is not an artist created in a demographic vacuum. His stories of struggle and triumph transcend age, race, and demographic barriers and serve as inspiration to a generation lacking any definitive leadership. His artistry stands out in an industry of sameness as he pushes the limits of creativity while balancing the needs of his listeners who crave much more than just a short sugar high. Similar to early rap pioneers such as Public Enemy, Ice Cube and Grandmaster Flash; there is a message in Melo’s music.
While he believes music should be fun, he also believes it should address socio-economic issues of the time. With no luck from a major label, Melo founded his own company in 2002; 4LB Musik. Under this umbrella, Melo’s extensive catalog of music stretches over ten mixtapes, two underground releases and one officially released album on Itunes entitled "EPU" (short for E. Pluribus Unum which is latin for “out of many, there is one”).
"EPU" garnered Melo acclaim in the streets, but more importantly it received the accolade of People’s Choice Album of the Year at the 8th Annual Independent Music Awards. He’s shared stages with the likes of Little Brother, Dead Prez, Mike Jones, Dem Franchize Boys, Nappy Roots and others. Whether his set is with resident DJ’s Swank or Mino from his 4LB camp, or with a live band, he leaves the crowd pondering one question, “why isn’t this kid signed?” Melo has produced two music videos independently; one entitled “Still Wanna Leave” which is a song off of the EPU album; and another more recent video "Don’t Talk 2 Strangers" off of the straight to internet EP "Bring Da Bluez II", both of which have received positive responses from viewers.
Melo’s grind is a result of pure dedication and shear will at times. With no assistance from managers or investors, Melo continues to come up with innovative ways to push his music and brand to the public. He is currently working tirelessly on his next album "The Heart of the City", which is being produced solely and entirely by industry renowned THX.

 Compton representer Brian James (FKA Wing) of Galaxy West Entertainment has featured on Dubcnn regularly (check the archives) over the years, noteably with his Eat Or Be Eaten mixtape in 2008 and then Eat Or Be Eaten Vol. 2 with production from Chris Reed aka Blacc, DJ Ophax, Malcolm Harvest and Brian James himself plus features with Quiz of Blu Division, Curtiss King, Ghrimm, Kraftie and Kace Moon.
In 2011 he re-emerged with the HEATER of a record entitled Listen produced by Malcolm Harvest along with a music video and then followed up with the DJ Ophax produced record Above It All which was said to be from his "Listen" project which was planned for this fall.
We've just had news that since the last update Brian James has signed with Soul Vintage Music and now is aiming to release an EP on November 29th called "Life On Mute" and then follow up with "Listen" in February 2012. With that news we also have a new record from Brian James, a self produced cut featuring Art Barz and Lou Urias called "Tried" - listen below.

After years of anticipation and hype, the Southern California hip hop trio Pac Div are set to release their debut album, "The Div," on November 8, 2011 through a joint venture with RBC Records.
The album is already being touted as a classic, with production from No I.D. (Common, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Drake, Rick Ross and more), Swiff D and the group’s very own Like.
Features on the LP are from long time friends Bleu Collar, Asher Roth, Casey Veggies (Sleeping in Class”), Tiron and Skeme and the release is by far one of the best collections of the who’s-who of emerging artists.
For those who dont know Pac Div consists of two brothers, Like and Mibbs and long
time friend BeYoung. The trio formed in high school and was trimmed from an original 11 member posse.
Over the years that followed these young and ambitious artists did their hip-hop homework, studyied rap’s pioneers, honed their skills and developed their own styles.  He dropped Setbacks earlier this year and ever since ScHoolboy Q has been constantly busy releasing new music and video on dubcnn.
Last month we told you he was working on a follow up LP and with material such as Druggys Wit Hoes with Ab Soul, a record with Jay Rock produced by Willie B called Can't Do and then Options produced by THC you could already see he was gunning for worldwide recognition before 2012.

 It's been a minute since the Long Beach ambassador Bad Azz dropped a new record. The homie stopped by the office in San Francisco the other day and played us several incredible records off his upcoming project(s). After hearing some of the material he has stored in the chamber, we decided that the world needs to hear a little something new.
Today we have the first piece of an incredible puzzle of music the DPG representer has assembled. He's indeed "back and he ain't went nowhere!".
Over the classic Rick Rock-produced Federation song "Hyphy", Mr. Bad Bad Carrabino goes in and drops endless bars. There's really not much else to say about it, you need to watch it all the way through to understand what's going on here.

 Just two weeks ago Kida - the Inglewood rapper who we introduced way back in January 2009 in our Exclusive Kida Interview - was back on Dubcnn with new music building up to his "Long Story Short" album due in early 2012.
Since 2009 Kida has regularly dropped new music and video right here on Dubcnn including solo material produced by Focus such as Done Fakin', Git' It with Chaundon, iGo, CutThroat and Watch Me.

 A little over a month ago we witnessed a defining moment for West Coast Hip-Hop. At a sold out show in Los Angeles, we saw one of the biggest displays of West Coast unity in recent years, when Game and Snoop stepped on stage to pass the "torch" to Kendrick Lamar.
“Aye n***a, you going bodyguard hard right now," Snoop said. "Look I’m sitting up there with Dr. Dre up top and we watching Game pass the torch to you and you great at what you do man, not good at what you do, you great at what you do. I’ma say this, you got the torch my n***ga.”
With Kendrick still being relatively new to the game, some may argue that a number of artists may be more deserving of the title, including the TDE top dawg, Jay Rock.
In a recent interview with Get Me Chronicles on YouTube, Jay Rock let it be known that he's proud of Kendrick's recent success. "That's my little bro," said Jay Rock. "Everybody was aggie about that but I'm like a proud big brother." "We were in this grind together, we started off day one, Top Dawg Entertainment"

 In March of this year we announced that Hoopla Media Group had joined forces with WIDEawake Entertainment Group for the global circulation of their vastly growing music catalog. Today we are back as WIDEawake Entertainment Group, who purchased Death Row Records and its famed historical catalog for $18 Million, now owns the exclusive rights for distribution of Hoopla Worldwide and its future releases.
John Payne, President of WIDEawake Entertainment released a statement today to state "Hoopla Worldwide is now a sister company to Death Row Records within our family."
This deal between WIDEawake EntertainmentGroup and Hoopla Worldwide will see its projects being released globally through eOne Music (formally Koch). Hoopla Worldwide will not only release digital formats of music, but will also focus on the traditional streams of distribution with cd and vinyl pressings for every project put through the label.
 Jonathan Hay of Hoopla went on to state "Anybody at anytime can release music online and sell itthrough digital retail outlets, but physical is what separates artists and labels from the pack. With physical products clearly still selling more than digital, you can’t neglect that high-dollar money stream. With physical products being sold through major chains such as Best Buy, FYE, Target, Wal-Mart etc, an artist with physical retail is going to be looked at more seriously, giving more credibility towards their brand - especially on the international retail level where it’s even more lopsided and in favor of actual CD sales verses digital."
I really hate to see veteran and established artists release their new music through digital-only streams because that goes on their sales history. In sports, an athlete is judged by their last season; the same is true of artists. If you only sell a few hundred, it’s going to blemish your brand and hurt you a lot more than it helps you. You can’t go from selling hundreds of thousands of records down to mere hundreds or even lowthousands of digital downloads, as it only devalues your worth and everything about your brand. It’s like a player averaging over 30 points a game for a season, then next season [he only averages] 10 points a game. Of course, your overall value is going to depreciate. Now don’t get us wrong, we are still going to focus on the digital music side with all the digital music streams available; however we aren’t going to neglect the physical business in anyway," he concluded.
 Started in Louisville, Kentucky, Hoopla Worldwide was founded by Chad Kiser and Jonathan Hay. Hoopla first began working with WIDEawake Entertainment on publicity and marketing; working with the classic catalog releases, re-issues and the new unreleased music of Death Row Records.
Impressed with the work output of the company, WIDEawake offered Hoopla Worldwide a full-blowndistribution deal and extra manpower, marketing and advertising.

 It's well over a year since we first sat down with one of the fastest rising stars in the music business from Gadsden, Alabama named YelaWolf.
Having just signed with Interscope Records he spoke to us about how Jimmy Iovine had flown out to his home, where he and Luke Wood brought him on board to their legendary roster of talent. If you missed that interview make sure you read it here.
Over the months that followed we kept you up to date as that signing led to Yelawolf and rap supergroup Slaughterhouse finding a firm home under Eminem’s Shady Records, at the time he said "Considering where I’m from and the sh-t I’ve been through, it’s hard to put into words what partnering with Shady means to me, my team at Ghet-O-Vision, and my state of Alabama. I can tell you that when you’re willing to give your life up to see a dream through, the reward is great. Today we are back as news has come out that Yelawolf - who was due to drop his debut full-length studio album "Radioactive" on October 25th - has pushed it back to allow him to put extra finishing touches on the album.
"Radioactive" will now be released by Ghet-O-Vision Entertainment/Shady Records/DGC/Interscope on November 21st. "I needed to add some important finishing touches to the album which resulted in the new release date. I have some surprises in store for the fans that have to be seen before the album comes out. It’s definitely worth the wait."
The album, which finds Yelawolf working with such producers as SupaHotBeats, Justice League, The Audibles and Diplo follows Yelawolf's critically acclaimed Trunk Muzik 0-60 (Ghet-O-Vision/DGC/Interscope) — a 2010 compilation of tracks from his Trunk Muzik mixtape along with previously unavailable recordings. Yelawolf is currently on the road with The "Hard White" Tour alongside DJ Craze and Rittz.  Having spent much of the last 12 months rehabilitating from four gunshot wounds suffered in May of 2010 its little wonder that one of the most talented up and comers in LA has not been around as much as he otherwise would've been.
Back in June, just over a year since the horrific shooting, K-Boy returned with a work ethic stronger than ever, focused on the positives in his life, and ready to continue his work under Glasses Malone's Blu Division/Division Music with whom he's been since 2003.
In that last update we dropped the acclaimed record By Any Means (Malcolm X) alongside Kendrick Lamar of Top Dawg Ent and shortly afterwards the duo dropped the music video for the track.
Today we are back as K-Boy has recently released another single and video to the streets, this time showcasing his smooth charismatic demeanor over a Kuddie Fresh production called "Need Your Love."
