POWERHOUSE 2005 CONCERT REVIEW

0

What up everyone. I just got back from Powerhouse 2005, and all I can say is holy shit. The Anaheim show tonight definitely epitomized the name of the tour, “How the West Was One”. Unfortunately I was not able to make it to the Bone Thugs and NB Ridaz segment, but arrived in time for a very energetic Busta Rhymes set. The Game came on next, rollin deep with Black Wall Street & Young Hoggs. He performed “How We Do”, “Higher”, “Hate it or Love it”, “Put You on the Game”, “Westside Story”, etc. He even brought his son out and held him while performing “Like Father Like Son”. Snoop Dogg then performed a 2 hour set, and brought out the best from the west, reminiscent of the legendary “Up in Smoke Tour”. Guests of the night included Tha Dogg Pound ( Daz and Kurupt), Soopafly, Nate Dogg, Warren G, Lady of Rage, Ooh Wee, Bad Azz, Lil 1/2 Dead, RBX, Pharell, Cypress Hill, and Toddy Tee. It was great to see the DPGC reunion with Daz, Kurupt, Snoop, Nate, and Soopafly all on stage together at once, and also seeing the 213 crew on stage together doing the track “So Fly”. Warren G and Nate Dogg also got to perform their classic “Regulate” to an overwhelming response, while Bad Azz got to join Snoop on stage for “Wrong Idea.” Snoop also began to reminisce about his days at Death Row Records, and with the rare opportunity, all members were present to do the classic track “Stranded on Death Row”. Snoop also paid tribute to Mix Master Spade, and traded verses with Toddy Tee while he performed the old school classic “Batteram”.
Some of the tracks they did during the night:
Xxxplosive, Next Episode, Murder was the Case, Bitch Please, Nuthin but a G Thang, Pump Pump, Serial Killa, Regulate, Snoop Upside Ya Head, So Fly, Afro Puffs, Aint No Fun , Lets Get Blown, Drop It Like Its Hot, Beautiful Stranded on Death Row, Wrong Idea, Whats My Name, Gin and Juice, What Would You Do?, Tha Shiznit, etc.

I will try to get some pictures up soon. This was west coast at its finest…
