The Return Of Conway!

0

It seemed as if Conway disappeared just as fast as he entered the rap game. He went from being a homeless young man with a dream, to a rap artist with a record deal on Motown/Universal, to getting dropped and going back to the struggle. In the chaotic and ever changing music industry, the executive that signed Conway left Universal and he was dropped before his album was released.

Conway has been off the radar since 2004, the year of his big radio hit "The Nutcracker".

The single would go on to be a top request on Los Angeles and San Diego radio stations. Now, 2 years later, the 23 year old rapper is ready to take the West and music scene as a whole by storm again. He is still a free agent, but a new record deal is not too far away, as many executives have enquired.

As Conway told Dubcnn: "It was a cool drop and there was no bad blood. At the end of the day it’s still a business, I dealt with the trials and tribulations of it. Now I got these options with these other labels, I’ll hit them all over the head and see what they wanna do. I got my foot in the door, people know me opposed to somebody who’s just coming off the street."

Conway will officially be back for the first time with his album "History In The Making". He teamed up with rising producer Sean Konnery, who is taking care of Conway’s new sound. But before he drops his long awaited debut album, Conway is lacing the streets with a 25 song mixtape called "Gramercy Gumbo".

Dubcnn got some exclusive music from the upcoming mixtape. First off we got the banger "Ba Dunk", and the laid back "I Stay High". Both songs were produced by Sean Konnery. Hit the links below to check out what Conway has to offer in 2006!
