It’s been a while since the West Coast heard of Young Maylay. Yea right, maybe if you’ve been sleeping all this time. Maylay has been hard at work in the lab working on new music as well as making his presence felt in different ways. He can currently be heard on KDAY getting played by Julio G, for whom Maylay recorded an exclusive radio drop. The Julio G drop features Snoop Dogg and was produced by West Coast vet and hit-producer DJ Pooh.
Maylay is also enjoying success of his last mixtape "San Andreas – The Original Mixtape" which is still making noise in the streets. Maylay has been working on a follow up, which will be his official debut album. The still untitled LP is scheduled to drop this summer, and promises to make you a fan if you’re not one already. Maylay’s new project is hard hitting with the lyrics and first rate on the production.
To put you in the mood for some of those Maylay heatrocks, Dubcnn is leaking an exclusive teaser that he laced us with. This song is a weed anthem – all smokers will be able to relate to this one. It’s called "Gots Ta Smoke" and it was produced by The Company.
